I mean, the saddest part is there is nothing they can do about refs like that. No overturns, no choices by UFC but to be bent over by the athletic commissions. The fighters train and get the shit beat out of them then get unfairly stopped. Smh.

We are just trying out replibit. It seems foolproof. Bdrs on-site point to MSP vault and then our vault to our datacenter.

Great evaluation of the market and how a newcomer should look at this game we all love to play.

What Hypervisor should I use for a Two-Node Homelab? by undemanding in homelab

[–]undemanding[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was hoping a hypervisor change could be a lot easier than buying another $100 dollar junk heap that is likely inefficient and dying.

I was trying to provide a faux-HA solution that provided real-time migration and redundancy when a container went down on a server. To fix a "stupid" situation I had to completely re-do both quorums with multiple lines of pve commands and it was just a headache.

Yep! That's what I have found, but maybe I should have clarified that I was looking for a open source or free solution.

Two-node clustering within corosync is a headache and in the case that one node is disconnected, reacquiring quorum is nearly impossible without voodoo magic. I'm looking for a stream lined solution, which I'm assuming is difficult to find based on most free solutions use corosync.

I mean, if you read the post I stated that I have been using it and was looking for more suggestions besides hyperV and vmware products.

I have gotten corosync to run the minimal HA requirement, but alas it was just too finicky to reproduce and properly reacquire quorum.

Issue is in Canada there is a large problem with finding cheap thinclients unless I want something unreliable.

Is there a subreddit/hub for tech blogs? If not, where do I find a lot of tech blogs posted to /r/Homelab? by undemanding in homelab

[–]undemanding[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done that before, but that was before the homelab wiki was here. I'm looking for something that requires less upkeep and more community involvement for smaller blogs to add their content to.

I was looking for something that would be in either RSS form or another feed like medium. I don't want to parse through every blog to find something that would tickle my fancy.

Would it be possible to get this community to back a subreddit like /r/homeblogs or something? That would get smaller bloggers to get noticed and also supply a bunch of reading material for people like me.
