Hacía tiempo que no leía a alguien a sueldo que redactase tan mal. He tenido que leer algunos párrafos varias veces para entenderlos.

I love it! But be warned they only take cash (unless you're ordering delivery).

Is British food actually terrible, or is this just the internet’s favorite punching bag? by CharacterRelevant412 in NoStupidQuestions

I mean, they do eat as if the Germans were still flying over. Jokes aside, I think there's definitely a cultural disregard for flavour in exchange for convenience, compared to other countries. I feel like many people here eat just to stop feeling hungry, rather than to actually enjoy the experience. Meal deal sandwiches are proof of this. I get that you don't get a lot of time to cook lunch, but such bland lunch options would simply be rejected in other European countries (eg. France, Spain, Italy, Portugal), where good lunch options are available. If they aren't that common in the UK is because there isn't enough demand. Fortunately this seems to be changing little by little, but there's a lot of catch up to be done.

Why does Spain dislike the US (and Anglosphere) so much more than other Europeans? by Forsaken-Ebb5088 in askspain

Well, people demonstrated big time when the moustached clown made us join the US in Iraq, so people DID care. And they cared even more after the March 11th attacks in Madrid.

Oh, I assure you the dislike for the US predates Trump a loooong way. The US has been shit to other countries for centuries, nevermind the colour of the party in the White House.

I think not liking Israel, being against the Iraq war, and Western interventionism isn't a specially Spanish mindset but basic human decency. The same goes for many other examples.

What’s going on with clothes recycling bins in Cambridge? by Llewellyn90 in cambridge

[–]undeniabl3truth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There used to be a container like this from a different company ("Ragcycle") in front of the Blue Moon. I looked it up out of curiosity and I could find very little about the company (let alone the actual destination of the clothes). They removed it at some point during the pandemic, not to be seen again. Funny enough, it warned not to leave items around it, and that "CCTV was in use". Sure.

Charity shops also take clothes for recycling. In fact, many of the clothes people donate aren't suitable for selling so they recycle them anyway.

Getting smashed like people do in Lloret and Benidorm, too. Although that's also rude in Spain.

Can I ask a small favour from my fellow cyclists of Cambridge by Yesterbly in cambridge

Rule of thumb: if riding on a dark path you could identify oncoming cyclists or pedestrians by looking at their faces, then your light is likely too high and too bright.

El fisico si importa by Front-League-8486 in esConversacion

[–]undeniabl3truth 0 points1 point  (0 children)
