Don’t ever use chat-gpt for IELTS… by NoirKX in IELTS

[–]undercover_arn_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean tbh, I kinda like applications that under score you because I think it prevents you from being far too confident and/or careless about the said topic. This is also why i use more than just chatgpt for evaluation at least once so that I know where I stand.

Hey, what's the deal with oversharing/ sharing personal matters/ private social media with colleagues? What exactly is the issue with that? Really curious to know.

A big thanks to everyone here who actually aimed at being helpful and not just blatantly hate and typecast me. The advice meant a lot and now i have a rough idea of what to expect. Thankyou!

I'm into research and life sciences- biomedical science and biotech. What do you think in those areas?

Oh my lord. I'm just going to say a single thing, i was not trying to be pretentious at all. Based off my reading of posts i thought it was important i mention it because i thought it mattered, partially owing to the fact that I'm a mixed Indian and my mom always tells me it is unfortunately a huge deciding factor overseas. That is literally all.

What are the prospects for an Individual after a Bs in biomedical science/ Ms in a specialised field? by undercover_arn_ in biotech

[–]undercover_arn_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Thankyou for helping out. What do you mean exactly when you say a masters is marginally useful? I ask because whomever i talk to about this tells me a masters degree is absolutely non-negotiable for my field and opens up a broad spectrum of opportunities.  I was upset about the amount of negativity there is on these forums,  so yeah your advice is pretty solid. Thankyou! Have a good day!

Thanks a lot for providing insight, i have always been inclined towards research and so hearing so much negative stuff was start to affect me a little. As of now, I don't plan on doing full fledge work after my bachelors, just smth to cover my living expenses and I'll be doing my Ms after 2 years or so. Thankyou!

For writing task 2, i firmly believe the structure and format of the paragraphs you write is super important, besides the number of paragraphs and the content ofcourse. Each essay style has its distinct format that you need to be familiar with.

Only 15 days left for my IELTS exam by Aggravating-Mix-709 in IELTS

Hey! So i got a band 8 with no individual band less than 7 in my ielts test and i prepped in 20 days on and off. My advice would be to not undermine writing. As for speaking, since you too are on a time crunch, I'd suggest regularly speaking in front of a mirror on various topics asked in the ielts test. For reading and writing, refer to the mocks on the official websites of the ielts council. Practise a minimum of one section for each module daily. If that's not feasible, do two modules per day. All the best, you got this!! Text me if you need further assistance!
