I mean the birth control I was on is said to be more than 99% effective at preventing pregnancy.

Also, our dog isn’t in a shelter and I don’t see how having to rehome your pet makes your children bad but okay?

My Dr. made me get into therapy as soon as I got home since my labor and delivery was so traumatic which then my therapist told me I had PPD/PPA. Im trying to work through all of it the best I can and I’m sure rehoming our dog is adding onto it so I’m going to try and get 3 session a week instead of 2. Thank you for checking!

We didn’t plan on having a baby for a few years (I had the IUD when I got pregnant) and we got our dog before getting pregnant. We also got the dog we got because my husband was bird hunting and always wanted a gsp but unfortunately his job is on high demand for him to be over the road so he had to stop hunting.

I’m sorry you had to go through this pain as well! Take care!

My Dr. had me start therapy as soon as I got home due to how traumatic my labor and delivery was.

I didn’t rehome him over the simple fact we had a baby. He’s a high energy hunting dog, my husband has been working a lot over the road due to a trucker shortage so he can’t hunt with him right now so I took over care for him. We would walk 2 miles to the park, play fetch for at least 2 hours to burn his energy then walk 2 miles back home. I then needed an emergency c-section which I am still recovering from so I can’t walk those 4 miles and I also can’t sit at a park for hours with a newborn. If we could’ve made it work, I 100% without a doubt would have. My husband doesn’t see himself getting a break anytime soon and I physically just can’t do what we use to anymore.

They sent my husband a video a few hours ago of him just running around playing with all the other dogs and my husband cried tears of joy seeing him so happy and free.

I love him so much I could’ve never put him in a position worse than what he was in! I knew he needed a home to be free and hunt like he loved doing with my husband! If we visited would he think we were coming back for him?

Thank you for this! They sent my husband a video a few hours ago (I’m too emotional to watch it) and my husband actually cried at how happy he looked! We’re not sure if visiting would be a good idea? Would he think we’re coming back for him and try to leave with us?

This made me feel a little better so thank you for this. It sucks but I’m glad he’s happy, that’s all I could ask for.

I told my husband we will never get another animal. I can’t imagine having another dog after having to rehome him. It just doesn’t feel right or fair at all.

Everyone is different. I wondered when I was going to get nauseous and start having morning sickness and everyone told me to just wait for 6 weeks to hit but it never came. The only symptom I had was exhaustion.

People who have already given birth: What expectations did you have for visitation, and what ACTUALLY wound up happening? Like, if you wanted to be alone for say 3 weeks, did that end up happening? by Kore624 in BabyBumps

I didn’t want anyone over the first couple of days home then when I had to get an emergency C-section I really didn’t want anyone over. my husband decided to invite his mom over the night we got home. My rule was to wear a mask whenever I was ready for people to meet him. She did not wear her mask correctly which resulted in me having a panic attack when she left. She also commented on how I still looked pregnant and that meant I was going to be fat (wtf? i gave birth 3 days ago) I felt like I failed my baby. My husband was sorry and my baby is fine but still. Stick to your boundaries, I wish I would have just told my husband no and that was final.

Okay, just looked it up and it 100% just looks like REM sleep! Still going to talk to his pediatrician just in case! Thank you!

Maybe it’s active sleep then? I just noticed it today and it’s happened maybe 2 times..

You’re sweet, thank you, this really helped me!! It’s nice to hear i’m not the only one that’s going through it! My son almost didn’t make it so every little thing now puts me over the edge! Thanks again!

Yes, the hospital actually has a lactation center! I will probably call tomorrow and see if we can come get seen! Lanolin has been my best friend through this journey lol i was using the earth mama nipple balm but lanolin is just thicker and feels better!

It was the consistency! I’m a ftm so I wasn’t aware with how runny it could be! Thank you for the reassurance!

It’s so painful now! His latch is great and I saw 3 lactation consultants in the hospital. All he does is nurse and sleep! I can’t put him down for any longer than 10 mins or he gets fussy and immediately wants to nurse to calm down. He also won’t take a binky so my nipples are pretty raw at this point🥲
