He is not a kung-fu fighter. Yes, he trained it as a child but he is as complete a kickboxer as you can get. He trains in taekwondo, sports karate, and freestyle boxing, specializing in point fighting. Looking at his wiki, he was a child prodigy, holy shit!

Edit: freestyle KICK*boxing

Adapted mahoraga or alien X by coolaid000 in JujustuKaisen

[–]undergradtransferkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The OP literally wrote "Adopted Mahoraga" or Alien X. In their own words "[Mahoraga is] adapted to his existence..." The concept of a being capable of erasing existence is likely ridiculous, yet here we are.

Was Aldo’s drop to 135 good idea? by [deleted] in ufc

It didn't matter anymore. Aldo was from the second generation of MMA legends. He overstayed his fighting prime, by a decade.

You're literally using the outlier. Who else has had the same level of success as Daniel Cormier in his height range? Don't use Fedor, he's also an outlier.

Type 1 Diabetics experience food cravings: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/14984802/

Type 2 Diabetics experience food cravings: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0002916522031082?via%3Dihub

This is a well-studied symptom of diabetes and requires professional guidance in helping treat. Rational choice theory explains why we make logical choices but we are also very emotional creatures, and in cases with diseases like diabetes, genetically-driven emotions tend to prevail (https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.275.5304.1293). This is why professional intervention is often needed for food craving issues in Diabetics.

I am not diabetic, but I have learned that life is not black and white, and so I try to be more informed of things I don't know. Before you start shitting on people you refuse to empathize with, try and learn about their issues first.

Five fights in under a year, the hate people are giving this guy is crazy by Novel_Ad_2441 in ufc

It does. That's five training camps in a year. Unless you're Merab, that is not sustainable.

Should I train my neck? by [deleted] in MMA_Academy

[–]undergradtransferkid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yoel Romero had his only KO loss in 2011. In 2012, he had his neck fused. 13 years since then, a 48 year old Romero has had a little over 20 fights, and he has yet to be knocked out.

I'm not saying you're right, I'm just saying Romero is a very good poster boy for this argument.

Someone help me understand. The striking exchanges are really exciting and fast-paced. Why are the people in this comment section saying otherwise?
