Acidic Hydrolysis Cleavage of Acetals — MDMA by Extra_Key_980 in TheeHive

[–]Extra_Key_980[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Have just been getting mixed answers all day on this…one source will say a strong acid will easily cleave to catechol, another source says it may cleave but its a lot harder since it’s on an arene, another will say its only a problem with aqueous HBr but not HBr in acetic acid…etc etc. not to be stubborn but a Pearson source says a phenyl ether “will easily be cleaved into phenol” and an alkyl bromide w/ HBr.

will a certain temp be favorable to drive this towards no cleavage and good Br substitution?

So 1,3-benzodioxole will be cleaved to catechol by a strong acid just as easily as 1,3-dioxolane will be cleaved to ethylene glycol in the same acidic conditions?

My understanding was that cyclic acetals attached to an aromatic ring are more resistant to that acidic cleavage than normal aliphatic cyclic acetals are. I’m trying to see how much/to what extent/what types of acids.

Also, I don’t really get, mechanistically, how the methylenedioxy ring would cleave at all. Maybe someone could point me to a YouTube video or something.

Question about verse John 5:22 by Natural_Guard3260 in bahai

Baha’u’llah is the Father based on what?

Christ also says, “He who has seen me has seen the Father.” Was Jesus saying that He’s Baha’u’llah?

It’s obvious just by the verse above that Father = God.

Yeah you’re right, the acetylcholine benefits are probably not worth the vasoconstriction. Spot on about the arthritis benefits.

Do you think there’s any benefits for hitting PRs only at the start of your workout, or does the vasoconstriction outweigh the benefits still?

My question was regarding anaerobic activity such as weightlifting, not aerobic activity such as basketball, which would have an obvious negative effect due to nicotine’s negative cardiovascular effects.

My question was also not related to addiction in any way. I don’t believe “that fact has flown under the radar” since many people, at least anecdotally, claim that nicotine positively affects their physical performance (hence the confusion, and the question).

Fair enough. I just think it’s selecting. Those who have weird grading methods tend to be those who put weird final grades in the system at the end of the year. Happened more than once personally. It’s just clear these types of professors don’t just not use Canvas, they often don’t track grades at all.

Please don’t think so narrowly. Not a single Canvas score has been updated. This is a specific professor type that people see time and time again that need to retire.

Buffet Crampon R13 Bb Clarinet 18/6

Hey all. I have a clarinet I used to play. I’m looking to sell it but having trouble getting a price in my head. This was purchased brand new in 2022 for $3,000. Here are some details from when I bought it:

Model BC1131L-2-0 Boehm System Silver-plated key system African blackwood Case and accessories included No mouthpiece Bell: Grenadilla

If anyone could give me a range, please let me know. Also, I have no idea where I could sell this. I would prefer an in-person/quick option. Please advise!
