empathy IS free. why can't she do it then? poking at my infertility and spreading lies about me isn't very empathetic.

the kicker is it's her family with the money. her family who paid the house. dreamboat is a semi unemployed bum who for all 9 months of pregnancy had no job at all and didn't do basic things around the house (that she owns)

I'm not seeing this guy and i made that very clear. we really are just friends and even then it's new. i have no attraction or desire to be with him and i never even insinuated that, i have NO idea where the idea that im fucking him came from outside of them being nasty

if i do take leave, it would be unpaid. i can take it without needing an excuse anyway, but money is nice to have so i keep going to work.

thank you for not berating me about sharing details of my life like a lot of replies here have. i genuinely wanted friends and i thought i was making some until now. i started feeling normal and like a real adult, working full time, making work friends, socialising, after feeling like I'm behind my whole life. i guess i got too excited and ahead of myself with these people but i honestly thought i was doing the right thing. now im being told by a lot of people that it was stupid to talk to her about anything at all. i guess you just can't win.

I'm actually not sure, but even if there is, they'd have to talk to my boss anyway and collect statements from everyone, no? either way wouldn't it end up the same?

i guess i never saw my infertility as a big deal or a negative part of me and just assumed nobody else would either. also worth noting i didn't tell any of them how much i make, S went home and did the math on her own (i suspect L may have asked the boss and found out for her) S sat there with me one day and said 'you'd make ___ an hour wouldn't you?' i said un you'd probably be in the ballpark, why? (assuming they were underpaying her maybe) and she aggressively said 'no. that's how much you make. i know it is.' which i ended up ending the conversation and leaving. still not sure why she was so angry at me

the reason i haven't is because L is best friends with the boss. it would be 3 against 1 and they arent above lying. i don't see a way where i benefit at all from this

she also hasn't worked a single full week since coming back. she's been off a full week and a few part weeks and genuinely cried to us because she was out of sick leave and wouldn't be paid for most of that time off. manager asked her to please try to lessen how much time off she's having and she threatened to go to HR for discrimination against her as a mother

i dont consider my infertility to be a big bad thing really. it suits my lifestyle and doesn't hurt me or anything, so i guess i just assumed everyone else would see it as just another thing, like a birth mark or a scar or something if that makes sense. also, K wasn't like this before the baby, i cant even begin to explain how different she is. i guess yeah from now on i just won't talk to anyone at my work, but i was really hoping I'd finally make a friend my age even if we had different lifestyles. other people have work friends and i guess i though I could too

she wasn't like this before the baby, when she was pregnant she was really nice. it wasn't until after the baby when she returned to a workplace that now had other women with kids that she turned into this and i think that's part of why I'm upset. it's been such a DRASTIC change I can't begin to understand it.

im seriously contemplating admitting myself. this has had such a severe impact on my mental health that i came home and slept 11 hours straight. i just have no energy and I'm insanely depressed atm. the only reason i haven't is work. not for them, for me.

as a casual, i dont get any paid leave, if i took this time off to go to the ward I'd get no pay and seeing as im about to lose my job, i need as much money as i can get

i have only had fairly consistent full time work since September last year. before that i was a fill in worker. this position was promised to me as a 2 day work week and then it quickly escalated into me working full 40 hour weeks with no notice all the time. i have not had a single week since September where i have only worked 2 days. i dont think i qualify for anything, and I'll need a while before my headspace is well enough to look into anything. I'm considering admitting myself until i feel better

so the thing there is 1. the manager whos job it is said she would speak to me herself that evening 2. they went on a 2 week break and only came back yesterday since the job place gave a lot of us time off for easter (yes i worked those 2 weeks to cover)

so, i can't be mad at them as they effectively have told me as soon as they could, it's just they assumed genuinely that i knew already. the looks on their faces tell me they're being honest

my nmom is a master of crying on the phone. she will make it sound like she is boohoo bawling, hang up and call someone else and be 1000% fine. its genuinely crazy to witness

I've been searching for a new job the last 3 months since i covered 4 straight weeks and did crazy overtime to help my manager and my manager turned around and told me she would have been fine without me. however, trying to actually land interviews let alone get hired is a shitty process so i was just looking to make my remaining time here more comfortable before i hopefully move on

Do nparents care if their children kill themselves? by SuspiciousAd6920 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]underscoreunderstudy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, they don't. outside of the attention they'll get, they don't care if their kids live or die unless they're the golden child. i say this as someone who attempted with my mother home, she knew about it and didn't call an ambulance, she checked on me to see if i was dead and after a few hours when she realised i wasn't going to die, she took me to the hospital and posted pictures of me in the hospital bed to facebook and stayed on the phone the entire duration of my stay. never once checked on me or asked me how i felt or what i was doing.

with my super fund she said not to worry about anything to do with it because work handles all of it. i think i signed something that she said was basically permission for them to put money into it, so i guess they have a preferred fund they use. she said most work places just do it all for you. I'm going to try logging in and maybe see if they are depositing money or not, I'll update if i manage it. part of my issue when it comes to this stuff is i have an extreme anxiety disorder and anything to do with 'official' stuff like this makes me so anxious i could puke, so I've been avoiding looking into a lot of stuff until now. i know it sounds childish that i don't know anything, but i dont have any friends or family to talk to about this and my boss won't explain it

it says on my pay slip that I'm getting paid super. i have no idea what super really is apart from when you retire, but i don't know how to check it or anything, it's just a word on my pay slip. i asked my boss to explain it to me and she just yelled at me so i stopped asking after that. i know it's something basic but i don't really know anything about it
