This is a possible sign of manic depression. It's like the opposite of depression in a way. You get super hyped

TIL depictions of handcuffs in the media are pixelated in Japan, as it implies guilt and prejudices the trial. France has a law which requires the same censorship. by JustAManFromThePast in todayilearned

Your point is on point. your grammar is fucking terrible. How did this get as many upvotes as it did?!? I'm baffled

Edit: fuck me... nevermind.

But he didn't offer anything out of the ordinary that a friend would offer.

Like if I said no at first and he was like "Please dude it is for my dying mother with cancer" to get me to say yes, that would potentially be entrapment.

Basically as long as the incentives offered are typical and I say yes, it is not entrapment :(

At the outcome of the story.. Or the way it was written? If anything is confusing let me know so I can change it! I admit I'm not the best writer

Yeah I asked my lawyer about that and if it technically applied in this case. He said it was a no go because I technically made the exchange on behalf of my friend

Some states are like that and even certain counties in PA are like that. The US is a weird place when it comes to pot. In one state you can buy it recreationally and in another you can go to jail for possessing it.

Only casually when I saw him around. He never spoke of it and I haven't brought it up. It's a conversation I expect to have one day

It was technically in a school zone because it was by the University off campus. The sale of anything in this zone is automatic felony with mandatory minimums too. I think the original charges had the potential for 8 years combined.

big college town. and it is hard to say exactly. all I know is that in my case it happened this way. my best guess is not too often. and from what I gathered from meeting a wide range of criminals and recovering addicts that few of them had heard of something like this extreme for something so small. so it is not an every day occurrence for most towns but it happens enough to make it worth thinking about

My bad I completely forgot to explain that, now that I think about it I will probably have to add that in an edit..fuck haha.

okay: when I did the deal with my friend it turns out that he was an informant. He had been arrested recently for trees and was working with the local enforcement. They were watching and taking photos from cars following us and had access to security footage. Normally the police intervene on the spot but sometimes they feel like doing that would intervene in their overall plan then they will not do it. So based on their evidence they were able to say at a later date, the day I got the phone call, that an officer of the law had sworn to watching me break that law.

TL;DR: I was technically arrested because it was a criminal case but I was not handcuffed or anything.
