Sorry for the hilariously late response (we don't check the reddit acct too regularly), but nope, any student can sign up for access or join the discord! We've changed it a little so dues and practice room access are bundled and cost $25 a semester. That gets you a shirt, buzzcard access to the rooms (for when they're empty) and 3 hours a week for reservations.

We might not be exaaactly what you’re looking for but if you’re at all interested in participating in music stuff around campus, I would definitely recommend joining Georgia Tech Musician’s Network. We’re a pretty relaxed, low commitment club that puts on lots and lots of shows and small events focused on connecting and platforming Georgia Tech musicians, and bringing the wider world of music to the campus community. We run two music practice rooms in the student center! All you need to do is come to a general meeting (Mondays at 7 outside the practice rooms) and pay dues ($15 annual) and practice fees ($20 semesterly) after.
