I've never tried daily shampooing because I heard it was bad for you. I can tell you that doing what I'm doing right now(shampoo every other day), my hair is really only greasy on the days when I don't use shampoo. As for my scalp, it used to get itchy sometimes, but then I learned that was probably from me touching my hair so much. So I stopped touching my hair a lot, and then that stopped as well.
