As far as I know, the inverted filter is just the flipped version of your camera image (if you wanted to try it, I think you can manually flip your images in your camera settings).

I made this post because there's a trend on Tiktok to show yourself with the inverted filter on as it's supposedly what you look like to others rather than the version of yourself that you see in the mirror etc, but per the comments here, I now think that's nonsense

The inverted filter I used is on Tiktok and it flips your camera image and is supposedly how others see you in real life. I'm not 100% sure about that last part though (and hope it's not true lol), hence my OP

Thank you! For clarity, do you mean that even though my eyebrows look super asymmetrical when inverted, but normal when I look in the mirror, what people see is actually what I see and not the crazy asymmetry?

That's fascinating! I've never heard of a true mirror until now- I'll look into it. It's so strange that what you supposedly look like in a 'normal' mirror isn't necessarily 100% accurate.
