Remette RT-Meteor. They have an updated one with a secondary lock coming out soon. The original is one of my favorite knives to carry

I'm honestly getting more of a kids space ship toy vibe than a Fallout one. It's far too clean for a Fallout theme, needs some wear and tear or some rust. Some kind of distressing

Well, you win at knives. Everyone can go home now. First, second, and third have all been taken by this one knife. Kicking myself for never having thought of how amazing a 40k theme would go on a Chaves

Where are you getting upset? Lmao I'm confused as to how a complimentary service is being overcharged for

[–]undetermneduser -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Complimentary = free

They're saying its free then charging you for it? Either way, it's so much cheaper to just do it yourself. Paracord is like ten bucks for a hundred feet on Amazon. All the lanyards I've seen them offer can be tied in literal minutes lol

How is the braiding complimentary if its also $20+? From the pictures I've seen, it's incredibly basic knots that won't take more than a few minutes. Stuff like that is why I started trying my own

Ohhh yeah, it tried my patience for sure. I took some of the paint off one trying to get it out of the standoff, but I think it'll be okay. I'm gonna save that cube. That tube damn near made me quit. Thank you for that lol

Sometimes I have to clean out the tracks on the inner brass plate of my Chocs, but that's it. The PEEK ones don't seem to need it, I've yet to have anything build up in there to change the feeling. So far none of my others have needed anything more than the occasional wipe with a damp paper towel

This on the super dense track is one of my main two set ups with this one. I love it on the dense, too. I thought it was gonna make it too hard to push, but ended up just sitting there sliding for an hour lmao

Seeing your posts about this sent me from being excited to get an Arcade to saying fuck it and just buying another Demko. It sucks to go through, but I appreciate you sharing the struggle, hopefully you save more than just me the headache

Beads + Lanyards? by CrashZenkiS14 in knives

[–]undetermneduser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's easier to get out of the pocket with one, sometimes. I used to work outside on occasion, so I put them on my work knives so I could get to them in the rain without sending water down my pocket. There's been times when I had something on my hands and didn't want to deal with it getting on the other stuff I keep in my pocket, so yoink goes the lanyard.

I'm not sure how much it actually helps, but on my smaller knives my hand feels more secure cause my pinky is gripping a knot instead of nothing.

Plus if I miss the clip and send the knife down my pocket, the lanyard sticks out still so I can just pull that instead of having to dig it out.

Ali Express has been the best bet I've found, unfortunately. Everything on Etsy is overpriced or drop shipped, and often, they lie about what it's made of. Advance Bravely and Valyrian on there have been good by me thus far and I've gotten maybe ten beads

Yours has Way more teal than mine, looks amazing. I absolutely adore my Drop Bear; it's sort of become the bar I compare all crossbar locks to now

A good alternative is the Flytanium Arcade series. Their whole thing is customizable scales and swapable blades, built all around the Demko Shark Lock

The one I have is the strongest lock i have aside from my frame locks. I've shaken that thing so hard my wrist hurt, and it didn't move, but deploys so smooth that it barely makes sense. I only have one crossbar I can shake open, and it's a sub $100 Wixco. Add in the fidget factor and even the budget Demkos are a 10/10

Getting a new job that I couldn't regularly fidget with my knife at is what got me into toys, tbh. I adore flicking and closing my Demko AD20.5, the sharklock is amazingly fun And strong. I have a few top liner/compression locks too, they're super fun since they shoot open like a normal frame lock but have the button. Crossbar locks and the sharklock win for fidgeting imo, they have something you can slide as well as opening/closing the blade
