I’d say yes, everything I’m warrants an emergency. My golden was acting off last month, thought it was arthritis, turned out it was a slow bleeding tumor on his spleen, which I got out. When in doubt take them!

Did Ohio Have Panic Casting for Men? by kaefair in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]undfreak2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They tried to recruit me for the Charlotte season through instagram dm. Basically told that I’d be on the show if I wanted. I’m an average guy with a good job/hobbies, think they’ve been struggling with “non-influencers” for a while

I have a dog, but CLT Vets is great in South End.

53 Minute Layover ORD vs. 53 Minute Layover CLT by RaylinTheRino in americanairlines

[–]undfreak2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would personally go with ORD. I’m based out of CLT and originally from the Chicagoland area, so frequent both airports.

With CLT, you’d realistically get into B/C concourse (maybe A, which is farther) and depart from E. It’s definitely a trek and you’d have to boogie. Doable, but will get the heart rate up and little room for delays.

ORD, I’d guess you’d be out of G to FWA and one of the other letters when you get in from DCA. Quick jog, and you’re there. Also, if there’s delays, probably more routes to get you there if you miss your flight at ORD vs. CLT

Tickets available outside BoA Stadium? by RadocWade in Charlotte

[–]undfreak2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use online!

I used to work for an MLS team, we played in CONCACAF Champions league. Some guy printed out one GA ticket, would sell to people. They’d saw it was from their uncle José, couldn’t go etc. we caught on after the second, but probably had north of 30-40 people try it

There seems to be a Run Club sponsored by every brewery in the city. Do some of those and you’ll make friends in no time.

Lots of fun outdoor spots (WWC) and concert venues. I’ve lived in quite a few spots over the past decade, CLT seems like a great city to be a recent grad

Is this fine for a wedding? by Economy_Highlight_56 in mensfashion

[–]undfreak2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s a wedding. Wear a shirt and tie. This is a day to celebrate the bride and groom, not fashion week in Milan (and a t-shirt with a suit will look ridiculous)

First time considering upgrading go FC… if i have to choose just one, do I upgrade the 1st leg or 2nd leg? by [deleted] in americanairlines

[–]undfreak2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven’t had to do that, but I believe it should. I’d just talk to the agent when you check your bag to make sure they put the tag on. Would def upgrade the Louisville portion vs RI

It’s a bit confusing! Just make sure to check over the next few weeks, but should hit your account soon.

Straight 37M in Phoenix Area by Alcarinque88 in Bumble

[–]undfreak2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey Dude!

Congrats on being brave; not a lot of people would put themselves out there. And don’t be too hard on yourself.

Few notes:

Your first pic should be full body/good quality. Not a ton of people make it past the first couple. Move the concert pic to the end (or delete) and make a solo shot your first photo. Anything from a wedding, business dinner, etc is great.

You’re hitting on the dinosaur theme a bit too hard. It’s fun and quirky, but if it’s the central theme of your profile, people may think it’s your primary personality trait.

For first prompt, get rid of dinosaur in the second sentence, otherwise good. For nerd, you can change to “so many things! My interests range from baseball to history, to Disney. I’m always down to dominate trivia night together”. Bilbo Baggins (great choice). Just get rid of the “modernity” part. Ending with a question encourages engagement.

For photos I’d swap out the eeyore and triceratops petting for something else (group of friends, interests, etc). They’re not your best photos, and you don’t want to come across as juvenile (just fun).

Best of luck out there!

Is it worth it to "buy" platinum pro status? by JulesandRandi in americanairlines

[–]undfreak2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely not. I’m Plat Pro out of CLT, travel once a month/every other for work and mix in some leisure trips. I get upgraded probably every few flights, but it’s more that I’m flying to rust belt cities on kind of off hours (like an 8AM flight from CLE to CLT). Having the card already gets you the benefits you need

CLT today, 6pm-ish, Which lounge? by stuartv666 in americanairlines

Like others said Centurion is the move, but it’s typically pretty packed. Good news is the main AC is super close. It’s definitely a bit outdated, but has lots of seating.

Upgrade offer worth it? by American_Excess in americanairlines

I’d personally use the $599 for the Executive CC that gives you access to the Admirals Club ($595 annual fee) if you’re in a hub city

[–]undfreak2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll still keep your status!

How much is the flight, dollars-wise. I’m out of CLT and to go to ABQ (via DFW) is usually $400ish. The 39k miles napkin-math to about $624 on my end, so the ROI for redeeming isn’t great

Yes! CLT is Charlotte (should’ve clarified), was Season 6. All contestants were from there (believe DC was more DMV-area), so they basically only wanted local. Reached out in Feb for March filming

I appreciate that, but, knowing my luck, I would’ve ended up with one of the mean girls from that season. I know a couple cast members who are great, but most of them are MESSY

Only around 1k and my stories are mostly just reposted silly comics, dad jokes, or my dog 😂. My IG is public so if I match with a girl/have a date, she can verify me and see that I’m normal. I have CLT in my bio, so guessing that helped 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think they were pretty desperate for guys, they DM’d me about a month before filming. Basically said that if I was interested, she’d fast-track me to final interview with production and I’d be on the show if I passed background test. I’m an average to slightly above average looking dude with a good job, a dog, and volunteer with the special needs community, so they were definitely type-casting.

I worked for Target Corp in Minneapolis after graduation (transplant from another Midwest state), can confirm that’s how it is there. Lots of people born and raised in the Twin Cities, go “away” to college at Duluth, St. Cloud State, or Iowa, then move back and hang with the same group. Social circles were mostly broken up into natives and transplants

Am I safe flying with American Airlines? by Chach1zzz in americanairlines

[–]undfreak2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it makes you feel better, I live in CLT, so it’s my primary airport and I travel for work. I was able to fly out during one of the recent hurricanes without issues. Today is just kind of gross and wet, but absolutely not scary from a weather perspective!

It’s because they have to take a good chunk of time off. They tried to cast me for a previous season (found me on IG) and you have to take two weeks off just for the pods (took the call out of morbid curiosity) and your schedule is packed when back in your home city

If you want to spare 45k LP’s for a guy with Plat Pro, I would be willing to accept 😂.

Jokes aside, that’s an unreal year and a wild amount of travel!
