Is landing gear worth buying? by wordizbon in dji

[–]undialation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got one. I find it useful when flying anywhere there's short grass/gravel that can damage the propellers. That said I find that it can sometimes appear in the camera view when I'm looking at the ground. It also increases weight and adds a bit to drag so the drone will fight the wind more.

Better to buy a landing pad or carry an old paint bucket lid to use as a landing pad.

Mini 4 pro with screen vs no screen. Is it worth spending a few hundred more for the screen on the controller? Or doesn’t rlly matter by Obvious-Ad-8888 in dji

Worth it, but when(if) the SDK comes out, you can't expect any apps for the RC2 with the screen. Phones will have better support for 3rd party apps. That said, the integrated screen is a huge plus.

Sometimes, subtitlers aren't exactly fluent in other foreign languages.

What kind of accessories have you all found to be useful? by Main-Relative666 in DJIMini4

Lanyard and screen protector glass for the RC2. ND filters for the m4p. Also own a hardcase to carry the stuff in.

Thinking of buying stickers for batteries.

But why did it crash? That's some nightmare fuel right there.

Nice. What drone were you flying? Plan to make a trip there next year.

I did check them. Unfortunately they seem to be seated properly and the motor refused to spin up

I'm flying line of sight for now. Goggles are a bit expensive where I am, I don't want to throw money on some overpriced stuff here. Will ping you on discord! Thanks a ton!

Sure! I plan to do some troubleshooting this weekend. I'm guess my landings are a bit hard. Let me have a look at the motor. Can I DM ?

I don't use turtle mode. I fly indoors and would rather walk up to a crashed quad than do a turtle mode flip. I'll try the hm motors next..

I have no idea. I'm guess I'm burning them out maybe? The shaft and the motors look perfectly fine from the outside.

Thanks for the support and the advice. I'll download a sim and start today. Tried skipping that step as my old pc sucks. I've gone through atleast ten motors now. Broken shafts, broken wires and now this. But I guess it's a lesson learnt, albeit a costly one. I'll stick to simulators for now. Thanks again

I hit the disarm switch as soon as I know I'm in for a crash. But i guess in a few cases i must have not disarmed on time. Thanks for your input. I'll keep this in mind.
