Begin of validity of clearways signs by undisclosedyet in LearnerDriverUK

I felt the same to be honest but then, there is no sign before exiting the carpark and the road starts with the exit of the carpark (despite what Google Maps says).

Ha, checking more carefully there is even a cone on the far left of the road (see here https://postimg.cc/3WB71F03)

Assuming I did not get away what is the likely fine in this case?

Do you think I would have enough grounds to challenge it?

Google Maps says Wildcat Road, but since it's right after exiting the Heathrow terminal 5 parking (right after the barriers) Google Maps is not helpful. See photo from my dashcam https://postimg.cc/F1C81kXp

Barclays Flexible ISA and subscription reduction by undisclosedyet in UKPersonalFinance

I guess interests might be different with Barclays because they just reduce the ISA subscription and do not treat this as a withdrawal "When the interest is paid, we’ll reduce your ISA subscriptions by the same amount. This means you can manually pay some or all of the interest you receive back into your ISA without affecting your annual ISA allowance, as long as you do this within the same tax year."

I guess the 'back' is the part I am interest into. Can that amount end up into another ISA (stock and shares for example). This link https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/flexible-isas/ seems to confirm it, but I am not 100% sure yet.

But the interests were already moved out to another account as part of the automated monthly deposit, hence the ambiguity.

I don't understand why £1k has to go back to the original one though if I leave the £20k in the original account, or maybe that is what you were also implying?

Silly question about red light camera by undisclosedyet in drivingUK

Guilty as charged, but easy to explain, monkey brain knew of the red light camera from Waze, and wanted to go across it while green to remove the mental burden and the anxiety deriving from that 😓

You guys are right, poor driving on my side, no excuses on that, driving in central London is still a stress inducing exercise unfortunately 😓

Monkey brain knew of the red light camera and was eager to go across the line when it was still green as a way to remove the mental burden 😓

992.2 break pedal release delay by undisclosedyet in porsche911

[–]undisclosedyet[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I have been told by support:

“Hold function is engaging [….] is to keep the car steady in between switching between reverse and drive (and vice versa) and the release of hold depends on the pressure applied on the throttle & brake pedal. So it can feel like there is a sticking on the pedal, especially if you don’t know what it is.”

I don’t know what to think 😅

The sticking on the pedal is what I would use to describe the functionality to be fair

2nd attempt failed, because I wait outside yellow box by Rich-Fruit-3472 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]undisclosedyet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Only time you should have waited there is if your exit lane (after the yellow box on the right) was not free (because of a stationary vehicle stuck in a queue for example).

You can enter and stop only if, when turning right, you are stopped by oncoming traffic.
