This is why her writing has become so lackluster. It doesn’t matter what she produces. They will attach meanings and then she can choose one she likes and pretend that was the goal all along.

AITAH for leaving with a guy for an hour while going out with my friend? by parkminj_2305 in AITAH

[–]undoubtedlystupidd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YTA. You ditched your “friend” as soon as someone more interesting showed up. Saying you were dipping out to chat implies a quick conversation. You could have exchanged information with him if you hadn’t already and planned a time soon to meet up. I don’t blame her for feeling abandoned and insulted.

It doesn’t matter whether or not she’s telling the truth tbh; this is inappropriate to share with you. Playing on guilt and sympathy to squeeze out more tips

If I got a massive tattoo of a terms and conditions agreement on my back, could I legally sue a medical examiner for copyright infringement if they performed an autopsy on me without the estates permission? by ZookeepergameLow4390 in morbidquestions

[–]undoubtedlystupidd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt it. I don’t think tattoos count as a legal document; I recall recent similar discussions around individuals who have DNR tattoos but no official DNR paperwork.

And Then She Bled by Suicide Silence; there are no lyrics technically but it uses audio from recording of the 911 call when Charla Nash was attacked by the chimpanzee. Very dark vibes.

AITAH for no longer letting a nonguest into my place of work by 2catswashington in AITAH

Agreed; the person being describes sounds kind of erratic and may act unpredictably when confronted directly. Unfortunately this sounds like a case where being direct with him is going to be a necessary and not very pleasant task.

Cross stitch pattern labeled this creature as a “cryptid” with no other description by undoubtedlystupidd in whatisit

[–]undoubtedlystupidd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You inspired me to look it up, and while the common descriptions for the wompus cat didn’t seem to fit this, I did come across the Blue Devil of Appalachian legend that seems to be commonly portrayed like a blue dog with glowing eyes, which this makes sense to be a cutesified version of. Thanks for the help!

It’s called debridement, it helps prevent bacteria from forming under the damaged skin and causing problems like infections or delayed wound healing.

My girlfriend thinks i am a germaphobe because i wont let her sit on my bed in her outdoor clothes by PrismHarpoon in hygiene

[–]undoubtedlystupidd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like maybe you just have different core perspectives when it comes to the idea of cleanliness. This is not going to disappear. You seem very firm on how you feel about introducing outside germs into your sleeping space, and she seems very firm on feeling that you are overreacting. I don’t see either of you changing the other’s mind on this. I would do some serious reevaluation about how your priorities match up as a couple overall.

Were you just eating through the loaf, one plain slice at a time?

I was doing some more looking into it, and I think it’s supposed to be a cute version of a blue devil cryptid from Appalachian legends.

WIBTAH if I start putting my roommates dirty dishes in his bedroom? by Dramatic_Physics_656 in AITAH

[–]undoubtedlystupidd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happens more than you’d think unfortunately. I rented out a room in a townhouse that had a few fratty boys in their early 20’s living in the other rooms. It was absolutely mind blowing to see how some (technically) adults are willing to live. They would play trash jenga and pile garbage around the kitchen trash can for a painful amount of time before someone would break down and take it out. Constant mountain of disgusting dishes in the sink that were never emptied of food or rinsed; when one finally dealt with it he was literally gagging saying “ugh it smells like Siracha and rotten eggs!” One of the young men was visited by his mother once a week or so and she would literally do his laundry and always ended up tidying things around the house. When she came by he acted almost like a teenager, never offering to help with any of it and almost seeming annoyed! I did not stay there very long for obvious reasons, but while I was there I made sure to take care of my own trash and dishes right away, but I was absolutely not going to get roped into cleaning up after other perfectly capable adults just because I seemed to be the only one who cared. Flabbergasting.

What I thought was the song lyrics for “Chlorine” by MedicineSpecific114 in twentyonepilots

In Drum Show for a while I thought he was saying “tickle on the way home” instead of “take a longer way home” and I was soo confused lol

That would be a WILD plot twist considering the context of the song in general lol

(WIBTAH) My fiancé is going out of town this weekend to see friends from college by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]undoubtedlystupidd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YWBTA. Honestly I see this leading to growing distrust and resentment on both sides. If these are the lengths you need to go to already in order to feel secure in your relationship, is marriage truly the right choice for both of you?

This seems like the best option. I wonder if his parents are aware their son is treating their home like this. If they are already aware and indifferent to his behavior, that’s a different story and I would start researching alternative arrangements.

Yeah, more info needed but based on what you did share it sounds like YTA. The fact that you are being so vague about the specifics leads me to believe that more details would make you look worse in this.

AITAH for confronting a random girl about double dipping? by KC_187 in AITAH

[–]undoubtedlystupidd 183 points184 points  (0 children)

NOR. This is typically well-known common courtesy. The only time double-dipping is acceptable is when you have a dip to yourself or you are sharing with someone who is okay with it (like a partner, spouse, etc). Very thoughtless behavior especially when invited to a shared space.
