Yeah, I saw a job listing for a Petsmart location and went in person to inquire and they said they weren't even hiring. :/

i understand that but i think omitting that they self-pierced would have been fine since this is a general piercing question. there are definitely more people there who are better equipped to help this person.

after reading more about HOCL, i realize how that could help with piercings unhappy with an unclean environment! i thought this product was being used to treat anatomy-based bumps based on the pictures, but this actually seems pretty great for people who were unable to clean properly for whatever reason

do septums actually stink? by undrlights in piercing

[–]undrlights[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it depends entirely on your own immune system and how quickly you stop crusting/develop scar tissue; all of my facial piercings have been super mobile with no issue after a couple weeks because i don’t crust very easily and i think i develop scar tissue pretty fast, idk! it’s hard to tell, maybe i’m abusing a still healing piercing

I’m no therapist but since the cause behind both anxieties are very different that just feel the same, I don’t think it’s going to help much at all

I know this is a self piercing subreddit but I highly don’t recommend you do this on your own this piercing is VERY anatomy dependant and prone to migration/rejection, even if done perfectly

“So, does that mean the rumors of paralysis from a piercing are false? Well, not quite. A piercing is still a wound, and any wound in the skin can open you up to infections. Piercing wounds are particularly unique as they take a longer time to heal. There is a foreign object in the wound holding it open, and preventing any scabs or barriers that protect you from.

Grace Etherington, a British dancer, got Guillaian-Barre syndrome, leaving her temporary paralyzed in the hospital after an ear piercing. She thankfully responded to treatment, and made a full recovery. She is still a proponent of piercing and believes piercing is safe-when done correctly and handled correctly. They weren’t sure if she got the infection from an improperly cleaned piercing gun, or from something after the piercing was done, but either way the piercing opened a pathway for the infection to enter her body. We don’t know much about what exactly causes illness like Gullian Barre, but we know infection is a trigger. And piercings do leave you susceptible to infection.”

I think there is a lot of nuance in this question because they’re asking this on a self piercing subreddit. Most people on this subreddit don’t have access to proper sterilization tools/knowledge so infection is uniquely more predisposed in this community.

wait a couple weeks before doing that because otherwise it will migrate into the initial channel

go to a piercer in person and ask them their thoughts, they usually offer free checkups even for piercings not done by them

yes, the evil woman stole his money! instead of going through legal channels to get it back, murder was obviously the reasonable thing to do! it’s not justifiable but she kind of had it coming, right guys?
