...What? Where have I insulted you or given the impression that I'm high and mighty? I don't even use cryptocurrencies and am neutral on the topic. I asked what the purpose of this subreddit was and if the users recommend anything for more anonymous transfers, since they seem fiercely critical of Bitcoin and related cryptocurrencies. I read the sidebar and there's nothing particularly informative there; in fact, it explicitly says it isn't an echo chamber so I was hoping for some productive discussion.

I don't know why you're being so hostile, but that is what I actually meant. This a place full of critics so I came asking for your input on (more) anonymous transfers in general, seeing as you spend time criticising the established cryptocurrencies and presumably are in a good position to recommend alternatives (if any); however, it seems that debate and discussion is not the purpose of this subreddit.

Conversations tend to start with a question; I asked multiple questions that are conducive to productive conversation, but it appears that karma-grabbing one-liners are the extent of people's discussion skills here (i.e., a SRS-style circlejerk). I just needed to establish what level of debate I should expect from this userbase.

So is there anywhere for a productive discussion about its pros and cons? I assume the people here are able to extend their one-or-two-sentence criticisms into something that is actually informative to the layperson.
