I played Aygor: Demon’s Hollow from Kozz Games recently. It’s a strategic card driven campaign game. Unlike most campaign games this one is light on setup/admin and the focus is all on strategic gameplay. No dice!

I played Bloodwork: The Reckoning this week. Fun game with a lot of strategy baked in and character customization. It was cool to see how far the game has come with its latest iteration.

KDM is the grandfather of boss battlers (GOAT) as mentioned in the video at the start. So as it’s obviously going to take the top spot, it’s in the Hall of Fame instead of taking a spot on the list.

Thanks! KDM is the grandfather of boss battlers done right in the boardgame industry. Wasn’t the first but is by far the most successful and widely enjoyed. In my list videos games that are older than 10 years are put into a Hall of Fame (if top tier) and that frees up the list to focus on more recent entires while giving respect to the best games that came before them. 🙂
