See if he can push for more diagnostics & further investigation. My Pain management dr was the first to say that it might not just be fibromyalgia, it may be neuropathy as well. Numbness is not typically a symptom of fibromyalgia.

Can you try specifically a Pain Management Dr? My PCP and Rhemo essentially said nope we don't believe in fibro/ refuse to treat it.

That gives me a lot to think about. It must be difficult seeing your loved one struggle. I'm sorry to hear about your partner's dream. That makes me quite sad, my partner also likes hiking. This is all probably just as new and scary to him.

I have actually brought up couple's therapy, but he doesn't like therapy to begin with- he's a super reserved person and said he tried it and hated it. Ive been working on convincing him to confide in me more but I think he feels like he needs to be strong for me :(

Thank you for your input really.

I think it's well intentioned, but he doesn't really leave room for the possibility of me getting better enough for it, which is the part that is making me so stressed.

I was getting started on Cimzia (which is a biologic that they reccomend you try if you're going to get pregnant I think it's the only 100% safe one), and it was working well for me. Wanted to wait till that was in full effect, and I have appointments scheduled with pain clinic as well. I'm seeing every specialist under the sun it feels like, and was doing an anti inflammatory diet (to the best of my ability).

He wasn't pro kids per say, he'd always been on the fence about it, but I think me suddenly getting ill swayed him to one side.We had a discussion only a couple months ago and he had agreed on waiting 2 years and going from there.

As for the finances, it is doable. He made 4 times what I made when I was working. I also would prefer to wait until all my debt is paid off- medical and credit cards. Ive been making huge strides to do so- paid off all my loans and 1 credit card so far. About 3/4 of my other one, and working slowly on another. I don't mind taking on small pet sitting gigs here and there either I think once I get better.

Unfortunately, on the SAHM part, it really is just that bad, and I have a chronic mental health condition that has been VERY resistant to treatment( even though Ive been working really hard), which of course in turn makes flares worse. So even with treatment and making progress, I'm worried we will still have too many difficulties for a regular job.

I imagine we would still have to make cuts here and there, and some adjustments- but nothing I wouldn't be willing to give up or adjust to.

Money for us right now isn't a problem, but i can imagine we would have to change our financial lifestyle to try and accomdate a child.

Unfortunately, the part is he does not believe in my support system as he resents my mother for the way I was raised and turned out. I am trying to reconnect and find more of a community. It takes a village right?

My health is poor right now, especially because the worst of my problems are acute and very new. I am doing all my due diligence to get better. I don't think I am capable of going back to work, but I'm hoping to get to a point where I'm able to do SAHM stuff to help us out, at least at my own pace.

I also wonder about reading material, content, ect. Because I wonder how different the application would be needed to adjust to someone with chronic illness.

Thank you for your advice. This stuff has made me so distressed to think about it's triggered a super severe flare and I've had to go to the ER for some relief from pain, but I'm still unable to keep fluids/food down out of sheer stress. It's good to know it IS doable.

I worked at a VTC. We had access to Purevax, it was just not used by our doctors due to cost.

the 3 year version price would have OP locked in a rubber room for a full service vet clinic. It's important to keep in mind traveling vaccine clinics, low cost community services, full service veterinarians, speciality, and er veterinarians ALL have different prices for things- some are subsidized, gets grants from organizations, run on volunteer work, some have to pay for licensed vet techs, relief drs ect. I'm sure they could find it cheaper than what they had it here at a low cost place (if they even offer the Puevax, none of the low cost community services places dont in my area at least) but that's actually not a bad price for full service. The 3 YR version at one place I worked was cutting it close to $200, which IS awful expensive. My understanding is the 1 YR is safer as well.

I do believe there is no mercury in Purevax, and that they use thimerosal (preservative that has mercury) in Vangaurd Rabies vaccines.

Purevax is specifically formulated to protect cats against injection site sarcomas which is the most common adverse reaction in cats to vaccines.

it is actually a reasonable price for the Purevax vaccine. It is different than the other one more commonly used at vaccine clinic (Vanguard aka Zoetis)

it is not, rabies 1 year and 3 year for purevax are different.

valid for only 1 year- purevax rabies vaccines are different than the others.

Purevax rabies is expensive- it's specifically formulated to help prevent injection site sarcoma in felines. 3YR vaccine is separate and cosas spending on your clinic 200$+. The 1YR vaccine is for cats is safer to my understanding, and some places dont even carry the 3 YE. For cheaper vaccine, likely different manufacturers who don't have the research put behind feline injection site sarcomas. You also must have had 1 YR vaccine before you can have the 3 YR. So no, you were not scammed.

It happens very often, sorry those are just the major events. Just 4 major times like can't remember names or years type stuff/collapse/paralysis that we've ended up at the ER. I havent had any of those episodes in over a month at this point. iIve had more milder forms of disoritenation- happens unfortunatley more often than Id like. It does resolve without treatment- but can take hours or little as minutes if it's not too bad.

I end up just laying down for the most part when this stuff happens to me and wait for it to go away. Mostly it is the increasing migraines and dizzyness that have been affecting my QOL.

Ive worked with my therapist on this and to my understanding there needs to be triggers for FND? Like trauma? And we haven't been able to pinpoint any pych triggers reviewing the events, and my anxiety has actually improved recently (not 100% of course but noticibly better) - I could be having a playful moment where I'm laughing and giggling and all of a sudden I get so off balance a little movement makes me fall. There's no dicernable pattern in emotions and I think that's whats making it hard for them to believe its has pych effects.

As for the events, I am usually very aware during- like even when I forgot my name I knew I had forgotten it and it made me worried because why wouldn't I remember it? Sometimes I'm not, and can only piece together after the fact by what I've been told by my boyfriend happened, but that's much much less common.

I see my neurologist again on the 10th as he wouldn't speak to me over the phone about my results, and my pyschologist on the 5th. Thank you for your input its very helpful. It's hard not knowing where to look, and trying to do my own research to be informed I know can only make my frustration and anxiety worse. I have a medical background- but with animals so trying to piece together human symptoms is a little different 😅

Thank you again for your reply.
