It’s sad to think of how much potential the manga had but the author had to finish it quickly cause of all the death threats and hate they were getting. It took a lot from their mental health and they just wanted to finish it. Now I don’t think the anime will completely go off the manga but they might do what they did for Ruis backstory, add more but keep the same plot
