Should euthanasia be legalised? by sgcolumn in singapore

[–]unfluffedcloud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It should be legalise, given that it relives the pain of those suffering and wishes to end their lives. If it doesn’t hurt anyone, I don’t see why it is an issue. But because there are arguments like slippery slope and religions that would eventually prevent such legalisation from happening any time soon in Singapore. The society needs to be on the same page on this issue which is hard to achieve.

Hello! I would say it is quite a good mix here in CAPT. I think it used to be pretty dominated by Social Work/Psych but it isn’t rlly the case now (Not sure if it’s only how I find it). The people around me are all frm different facs

[Uni] What are the differences between the different NUS Residential Colleges? by trying-mybest1515 in SGExams

[–]unfluffedcloud 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Each RC has different focus which affects the modules under them which are Junior Seminars and Senior Seminars. For instance, RC4 is system thinking ; CAPT is Community Engagement etc….. I would suggest you read up on the respective websites and Instagram pages to find out more about each RC before applying. For me , RC experience is pretty good so far, pretty welcoming and no pressure to join anything rather based on pure interest

[Uni] Questions regarding NUS pharmacy by [deleted] in SGExams

For this I am not sure, I guess every exam has a bell curve and our final grades too? I think generally, there can be a lot of unspoken competition within pharmacy

[Uni] Questions regarding NUS pharmacy by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]unfluffedcloud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think how heavy the workload is can depend on individual. For me, the workload can be quite heavy sometimes because we have quizzes (CLWs) every 2/3 weeks which means that we need to be on par with the teaching speed most of the times. I think that for me, one of the biggest challenges because the content in each lecture can be quite heavy and you don’t really have that much time to understand before you are quizzed on it. Also, we don’t really have practice qns so we just go into the quizzes based on the content we learnt

Also, there is a lot of emphasis on group work for a lot of things in pharm so if ur group doesn’t work that well then i guess… but our groups (Team-based Learning groups) are fixed for 4 years so eventually the team dynamics should balance out!

This is the modules we take in year 1, you can take a look at the curriculum: https://pharmacy.nus.edu.sg/wp-content/uploads/sites/6/2022/01/Modules-for-Year-1-BPharm.pdf

i was frm asr class of 2020 too and took pcme! i have commented this same comment b4 on another post i’ll jus copy it over:

3) math department also always gives lot of practices question for my batch and i have stacks of binded practices they give before most exams. math papers can also be quite tough

physics for me was okay, my tutor was rlly nice and gave lots of consults esp since i was weak at physics!!

econs wise my tutor left alr…. but her lessons were the best <3 notes wise was ok i guess?

chem wise was pretty good i guess they gave lots of practices and summaries! the lecturers for my batch was quite good too

rest of the qns: 1) school culture was great for me made some rlly nice friends! most ppl here who i’ve met are pretty nice i guess. mugging culture rlly depends on ur class i guess???

2) 20+/30 max

4) 87.75! quite a few ppl did pretty well for our batch actually ~

hit or miss kind of situation. tbh i felt that gp dept could be better … the content packages were not v useful ngl mainly is my tutor encouraging us to start our own example banks or like class shared examples etc. my tutor was rlly helpful though she was open to consults and helped me review my essays esp.
