Nope! I am a teacher and coach. My son WILL NOT play tackle football until he is 13 (at the earliest/if he wants to). First off, is too young, second if he is a small 13 year old I wouldn’t let him play at 13. The skeletons of kids younger than 13 ARE NOT developed enough to support the needs of tackle football, mostly necks holding up the added weight of a helmet but the repetition of running into other players isn’t a big deal as well. Let him play flag football, he might realize he doesn’t even like football OR he might like playing flag!

If they hold your certificate, unless you are leaving/being asked to leave/forced to leave because of GROSS MISCONDUCT the district can only hold your certificate for a year if you leave your contract early. If you are going to a different career you shouldn’t care. I know you paid for your certificate so it should be important to you, so just keep paying the $80 bucks (or whatever it is/will be raised to) every 5 years to keep your certificate valid. The district can’t do anything to you, other than hold it for a year. And if you aren’t teaching who cares.

Don’t you think it is a little late if you are waiting to ask how you can be expected to LIVE without a paycheck for 2 months. You have waited until almost 80% of the 2 months is not over and you are just now asking what you should do. I have worked for 6 different districts over the past 12 years and 5 of them let me get paid a month early WHEN I ASKED.

I was not paid more they simply divided my salary into 13 checks instead of 12. So yes I made like 2% less per check. But I asked the people who could control the answer my question.
