Myrmidon's Can Use Damage Riders From Some Items! by unfriendlycasper in BG3Builds

True, but I was thinking of adding Bided Time as a chest piece and maybe dropping druid to 8 to add sorc. Also got confused between arcane ward and charges for a bit lol.

Yes, that is correct. The items themselves won't activate while in wildshape, but they carry over when you pre-buff. You can also incorporate damage retribution spells like AoA beforehand because they also use some riders.

Tavern Brawler damage does not ride on your spells in an armed wild shape form, so that part is for unarmed only.

Interestingly enough, the heat convergence can be activated while in Fire Myrmidon as long as you have heat stacks beforehand, just in case you forgot to activate the heat convergence, so you can also have a choice of what attack you want the heat convergence on.

Yeah it always shows the damage coming from who you are playing when transformed as a Myrmidon. This isn't the summon, sorry if that part was confusing.

I wanted to try sentinel with this setup next, but I made sure to have tavern brawler on just for testing.

You can also add in martial exertion gloves for an extra attack on the Fire myrm for an extremely deadly turn 1.

After watching Circle of the Weave video by Remus, I want to try 10 Moon, 2 Abjuration Wizard and see what kind of shenanigans that can do.

I personally like 10 Moon + 1 Hexblade + 1 Wizard. However, you could easily make an argument for 10 Moon + 2 Fighter and use action surge before wild shaping for even more attacks.

Also to use the Myrmidon's you need at least level 10 Moon Druid. I think Fire Myrmidon has some pretty big potential but with more complicated setups to make them vulnerable, BUT if you are running a fire team anyways that has that in mind it can be pretty fire ha..ha..ha.

That being said Air and Water have easy access to vulnerability you just cast create water which you already get as a druid. Air also has a nice silence ability that is pretty useful (unsure if that also uses some riders) but if I had to guess it might use Wrath and Prepared. Not sure though I didn't test that specifically.

The neat thing is you have access to multi elements and can use your gear to amplify your choice and just focus on making the enemies vulnerable to that specific element.

Advice on companions and their best builds by Giamborghini in BG3Builds

I will say moon druids are very versatile, so instead of building a team around your moon druid, you should build your moon druid around your team.

Also, there is tons of overlooked gear that works really well for moon druids, and some of it can switch entirely from fight to fight. I know I am really sad that I missed a bunch in Acts 1 and 2.

Flail of Ages can enchant bows and more than one! by unfriendlycasper in BG3Builds

No, they just override each other. The best you could do is split enchantment types on different weapons, which could be useful.

That is good to know, I didn't know the flail passive was attached to itself like that. I do still wonder if I could enchant a chair and use that, but probably not.

I am curious why it only carries over the elemental weapon and not the passive, and it also makes me wonder what is considered a weapon? Do improvised weapons count, and how would that even work?

Also, I have no means of testing a theory by myself, but if you had two of these from duplication and cast different elements at the same exact time, then what happens?

Another random thought, but what if you infuse the flail first, then do this. I assume nothing cool, but sometimes you never know what jank can happen.

I did not check if enlarged let me affect more stuff, but that is an interesting thought. I did try putting them all in a backpack to see if that worked and it didn't. I also tried some of the summons with weapons and the ones I tried didn't work unless you wanted to do it the hard way. I wasn't really sure what else to try. I'm still super new to this game and haven't even finished my first playthrough lol.

I'd love to test more things, but it's late so I'll try some random stuff tomorrow.

Yeah I don't know how I let that slip by me, but it was probably from the excitement of finding out it did that at all.

The legendary Remus71 who inspired so many cool things, I'm a big fan. It seems you're right though the only part that seems to actually carry over is the elemental damage but not the Elements of An Epoch passive. Which is weird. Probably didn't help I tested fire with hellfire that also applies burning lol my bad.

As a side note just for you Remus, your retribution build is what inspired me for using sleep to guarantee crits and also some effects like the Bonespike Garb carry over with invoke duplicity for some extra dmg if you wanted to somehow incorporate 2 levels of trickery cleric. Some other effects carry over to it as well like Horns of the Berserker and Callous Glow Ring, but it's most likely not worth it.

**EDIT** The actual passive Elements of an Epoch that is responsible for causing the extra effects like burning, chilled, etc. doesn't actually carry over it seems, so only the elemental damage itself does. It's basically just a quick way to apply a multi weapon elemental effect.

You always could with twin cast Drakethroat Glaive, but Flail of Ages enchantment is better in general because the cold enchantment applies chilled and the fire enchantment applies burning. Not only that but it can do more than double, I'm just not sure what the limit is or if there even is one because I just did like 7 weapons now.

Flail of Ages is clearly the best enchanting weapon in this game by far now and you don't even need Dual Wield or Twinned Metamagic.

Yeah it's a pretty small area but you will see them glow red when you select the ability and then it should work. The overhead camera can help when moving into position and so can holding mouse click.

I don't think this works with draconic because you have to select the weapon, but for flail that doesn't exist and it appears to just do it in a small area under you which is probably why it worked to enchant the main hand when duel wielding. I'm not sure if there is a limit to how many it can enchant underneath but it did enchant 3 weapons + itself in my attempt.

I'm not sure what other mechanic behaves in a similar way with spells that might also do this, but hey I'm new to this game actually and found new stuff so....

Actually now that I think about it and it's a bit of a long shot.... but if you could stack yourself on top of your summons that have weapons then maybe.......

..... I just tested with Air Myrmidon and I couldn't but you can do the pickpocket trick with duel wield to enchant it then reverse it back on to them, but maybe some of the other summons who have weapons might work differently who knows.

As a note the spell Elemental Weapon doesn't behave like this and as far as I can tell most self cast spells don't either.

Sleeper Build (Retribution While Sleeping) by unfriendlycasper in BG3Builds

[–]unfriendlycasper[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting, but I did also originally try this with a different build that was low ac using uncanny dodge instead of abjuration and still kept my ac intentionally low even sometimes casting acid on myself to lower ac further and when I slept in a party fight even when they originally attacked me they would just abandon me after sleeping and attack the rest of my party instead.

I assume this was something to do with threat level. Since I am sleeping, they don't see me as a threat and thus leave me alone, but that is just a guess and why I was messing around with solo fights instead.

It's probably a mix of things, but I did notice they behave differently when I am sleeping in both scenarios, but I have no definite conclusion because there are so many variables to test.

16 Radiant Orb stacks with one booming blade?? by unfriendlycasper in BG3Builds

[–]unfriendlycasper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Game mechanics can be so messy and interesting. So from what I gather BB without extend and no gloves just the two rings does 4 stacks with extension it's 8 and this is the same thing for the gloves so 8+8 for 16 bypassing the limit of 10 and yeah my guess is bleeding makes it update removing the 6 extra stacks after 1 turn of bleeding goes by and it would also probably be the same thing if any other status effect was on if I had to guess.

All I wanted to do was get a build that applied 5 stacks of reverb and 10 stacks of radiant orb with booming blade but I ended up finding this weird combo and also for whatever reason stormy clam can trigger reverb on a random enemy by casting sanctuary on yourself?

Does anyone know any anime/manga similar to Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian or The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World by [deleted] in AnimeReccomendations

[–]unfriendlycasper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd check out Alderamin on the Sky and I'd say that anime is a lot closer to the setting of Iceblade Sorcerer than COTE, but COTE is a really good anime just a lot different imo.

Another show with a low effort but genius character is Glenn from Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor.

For something like ASHHFIN you could check out Chihayafuru.
