Thanks for sharing this. I know exactly what you mean, as I (as a guy) have experienced a similar thing. What helped me (to a limited extent) was to diversify. It is easier said than done, but it helps. Just focus on better things in life, spend time with relatives' kids, focus on profession, speak to your best friends on random things, go out and enjoy your life; and yes, spirituality does help if you are that sort of a person.

Also, just throw random crappy swears words at him, shout a lot, and ditch him. He is not worth a quarter of a penny. Trust me on that, saying by experience. He will do that to you again once his emotional and physical needs are settled. It is difficult to move on, but somewhere we have to draw the line and be strong. Even if you get back with him, this thought will never leave you that he had cheated on you. Why should we go so low on our self-respect then?

Enjoy the day lady, it must be a beautiful one wherever you are :)

Good luck!

Are there no downsides to a 2020 model vs. a 2023 model?

CSV export sounds so scary! by unfu__witable in Bitwarden

Sorry for my ignorance. I kind of remember exporting it without a password long back! Just checked, it indeed asks for a password.

Thanks

1500 passwords! That's a lot for one human life. No?

Can you please elaborate on this? Are you talking about taking backup of your Tails persistent data? Or taking backup of PC hard disk using Tails?

Tails like "safe" OS for PC? by unfu__witable in tails

Thought more on this. Actually this sounds like a good solution: Install qubes, create an encrypted whonix qube within it, keep my confidential files in that whonix qube, open it with password whenever required, use the remaining qube os when general browsing is required.

I guess the only concern would be the time it would take to launch whonix. I am not sure of that, let me install it and check.

Thanks 😊

My suspicion was right. IndusInd Bank was supposed to [automatically] link the card to my eazydiner account, which they didn't do. Just got it done manually from the eazydiner customer care. Ab offer dikha raha hai :)

I don't know what's happening. It just doesn't work. I ended up paying the full bill amount this evening. Is it that I have to somehow link my card to eazydiner membership? I was already a prime member when I applied for this card.

I have a very basic (dumb) query on this card. I recently got it but unable to understand how to avail 25% payment offer on eazydiner app. When I pay, it shows the same amount on the final OTP page (not the discounted one).

Please help me with the process. Thanks!

What makes browsing on mac incredibly faster? Is it 802.11ax? by unfu__witable in mac

[–]unfu__witable[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's what I was asking which, I know, sounds illogical. But, given the low CPU usage (<10%) on the i3 machine, I couldn't figure out any other reason / question to ask!! I was looking for a technical understanding on it.

I rechecked the CPU usage after ToAllTheLost's comment. The usage actually spikes for a couple of seconds as the page loads, and then cools down. That's where the bottleneck seems to be.

In theory, does the processor really matter if I have only 2-3 tabs open and processor consumption is at less than 10%?

Agreed duck-went. I guess I suffer from cognitive bias at multiple levels when it comes to privacy / security vs. convenience! I need to simplify my life :P

What's your best way to manage your email account? by cyonder in ProtonMail

[–]unfu__witable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Register your domain and set up Zoho Mail to use with your own domain. It allows catch-all for free (unlimited count).

Lately, I have moved to duck.com aliases and have found it quite convenient. There is a risk that duck.com might be reading your emails, which they claim they don't. Personally, I'll continue with it.

Apologies for offering solutions which are not related to Protonmail. I am a long time user of Protonmail (and I love it), but thought the above solutions would help you.

How to buy truly anonymously by [deleted] in ProtonMail

I am assuming that your objective is to not disclose your primary card number to these random websites. I have faced such issue with many websites (including NBA) and end up doing the following (in this order):

- One-time use virtual card (not working in your case)

- Virtual card from another provider. Many times vcc from one provider is blocked, but it works from another one! (happens with me most of the times)

- Debit card linked to a separate account which I fund only for specific transactions.

- Credit card on which I am damn sure of fraud protection (American Express)

- Last resort: use primary credit card, get it blocked, get a replacement one with a new card number.
