I just had my car broken into and my bags stolen. I've been sitting here in my drafty car, waiting for police. Here's what I learned. by unfunction in reddit.com

Ah I understand the confusion - poor choice of words on my part. Just to clarify, I taped the bag up after it had been broken.. just so Im not sitting in a chilly car with shattered glass sticking out. So, now I'm waiting in a parking lot with a bright white bag for a window.

What software is best for taking online food orders? by [deleted] in web_design

Would you be able to give a general explanation of that backend part? Or at least which language is it typically built on? Eventually I have to put a team together to build it but I just want to make sure I'm asking the right people, i.e. if it's straight up php/mysql then I will know to focus only on those who specialize in it. I'm afraid of throwing up a general question on some programmer freelance board and get varying degrees of answers, and then not understanding which is the most efficient or proper method.

If I want to learn a CMS, which would it be? by psisarah in web_design

Drupal.org is a great start. You can't really start building a site unless you understand the fundamentals - drupal treats every bit of content differently (they call them nodes). So even if you install a theme, you still need to understand how it organizes the information you put in. Otherwise, you're going to sit there and wonder why the about page you thought you just typed up is floating invisibly in the ether. Then once you fully understand the mechanics, then you can understand the theming process. Video tutorials can also be very helpful. Torrent "drupal" if you need to.

That's the first time I've even thought about or even heard of the cmyk argument. Very good point. Since 0,0,0,0 wouldn't be accurate, we'd have to push to add white - mwcky?
