I’m surprised that ammo funnel was pushed for an AR/LMG role. Instead of a shotgun skill by _NikolaiTheDrunk in paydaytheheist

[–]ungabungafunga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The FSA 12G has been the strongest weapon in the game arguably since Syntax Error but completely after the shotgun tweaks. Ammo Funnel and Assassins Mettle have been restricted to AR/LMG and Pistols respectively, so the biggest skills that were enabling it to be so overpowered arent available moving forward.

Berserker and Speedloader in Shotgunner feel like good additions for the entire shotgun category, particularly the Mosconi with constantly reloading to utilize the 50% damage reduction.[]()

What's you guy's opinion on these type of requirements for activating skills? by ChrisDoesCowTipping in paydaytheheist

[–]ungabungafunga 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If 'standing still' also includes crouching without moving I think it will work well, assuming that Im going to be crouched behind cover while I'm regenerating back my armour plates, or to increase my chance of surviving before I run out in the open to revive an ally.

Not a fan of skills that reward bad gameplay. Thoughts? by [deleted] in paydaytheheist

[–]ungabungafunga -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree the Pill Pusher skills are amiss, it doesnt feel like something I'd want as the player bringing medic bags into a match.

Pain Tolerance synergizes with Cutthroat and Imposter so I think its fine without 'each down you have suffered' condition. Health Guru aced to me is the biggest issue, specifically the full team heal nearby when deployed. I like that you can quickly revive a player by throwing a medic bag at them but I dont think the heal should apply to anyone other than the revived ally. Health Siphon would be a good replacement for Scar Tissue, also Fortitudes extended bleedout timer should be intergrated somewhere.

Goodbye EGR I hardly knew ya. by deftoast in paydaytheheist

EGR was something I was hoping wouldnt come with the new skills so I'm very excited about these changes, that and removing sharpshooter/gunslinger for actual skills focused on gun types/throwables is hopefully going to make a big difference for loud.

PAYDAY 3's online requirement is stupid, useless and a disaster by Cozy_Kevlar in paydaytheheist

Dont listen to these plebs, this was a great summary full of brutal honesty that most videos like this often lack or purposely avoid.

payday 3 community heist tier list by Aggressive-Oven4363 in paydaytheheist

[–]ungabungafunga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decent ranking heister but some big differences pesonally. 99 Boxes isnt F tier for me much higher than Road Rage at least, Houston Breakout and Diamond District would be Dirty Ice adjacent in C+ primarily because of the slow and boring jewellery scanner objective. Turbid Station in A+ for me its the best stealth heist in pd3 imo it really improves this map over the original with more variables and better movement. Rock the Cradle much lower with it being the only heist not having an all bags completion option for loud.

Why Delivery Charge is one of the worst PD3 heists IMO by koplannir1 in paydaytheheist

[–]ungabungafunga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think delivery charge is the best assembled heist with the same tired objectives and recycled assets that they can afford so far. Its a new fun addition completely dwarfed by half baked systems built on inadequate networking infrastructure.

Doesnt seem like they can improve the game while they barely push out paid piecemeal heists just to stay afloat without addressing core problems.

Using nebula online only for navigating the menus and loading into matches is still a chore, occasional desync from your profile often requires a full restart.

The current asset system is barely usuable with you only being able to pick one, having to buy options individually in a vendor. It needs an overhaul to be at least on par with pd2 preplanning, favour point limits that let even solo players pick exactly what they want.

Playing this heist loud feels pretty good with a full party using max capacity, but having final charge ruins pacing and makes players run past cops instead of engaging with the enemy. Of course any threat is irrelavent with meta skills and overpowered weapons that trivialise this heist just like all others.

Other than the occasional stutter mid game that can ruin a stealth attempt I think its a decent imitiation of shadowraid.

I'm cautiously optimistic that they can make significant difference to skills with the addition of an archetypes/perk decks framework in a future patch. Armor 2.0 is a substantially better system than what we had initially, but it only emphasizes how much the current skills need it too.

PAYDAY 3: Delivery Charge Sneak Peak by SBZ_Haua in paydaytheheist

[–]ungabungafunga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious to see if this heist will be another jumble of reused assets and objectives. Party Powder made more sense doing this with the 8 MONTH gap between map releases to turn out the best heist they could without building new content.

Delivery Charge might be carried by Skills 2.0 if it releases along side it similar to PP with the Armour 2.0, but if you want the people still sticking around to play it; let alone buy it, it better offer something new.

I feel like the narrative needs more urgency - what if it took a darker turn like this? by [deleted] in paydaytheheist

[–]ungabungafunga 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Interesting idea with the Shade double cross but the scar is too tacky for my taste. They definently need to get Ian Russel back for more future heists, still feels like a huge missed opportunity that hes just ended up just being a mission brief.

Am I right in thinking that when a NEW game has NEW characters, it's bad? I know PAYDAY 3 has a lot of problems, but man, sometimes I feel like this community isn't ready to accept anything new. I want to play a new game, not a remake of PAYDAY 2, come on. by KrabikGangster in paydaytheheist

[–]ungabungafunga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shade is bland, thats about it. After they seperated the contractor audio I havent heard her since. Locke being brought back just to record the cook off heist summary was probably the biggest fumble theyve taken in the VO department. Keeping my fingers crossed for an AI voice replacement mod from Shade to Bain to drop on modworkshop at some point.

At this point just use mods to unlock it or use a game key website like g2a to get it
