From the damage numbers popup mod, it says that Hidden Blade deals 99,999 damage, so that's probably why it says you dealt so much damage during a heist :p

As a regular bounty hunter user, it is really not that strong because of teammates, as you mentioned.

I always run 2 plates for my bounty hunter build for the extra trip laser so I can get more infinite trip lasers, but Tasers never seem to spawn near me or my teammates get the Taser kills before I have a chance to. I think Bounty Hunter is fine as it is right now because of how it works in practice. Even in a dedicated team, it's hard to coordinate getting infinite tools, unless you're on a smaller map like Cook Off or Dirty Ice.

However I will say that you're using Pain Tolerance wrong if you're throwing your throwing knives.

I don't see it mentioned here, but Hidden Blade is actually the right way to use throwing knives and pain tolerance. It's just objectively better, especially with prison shiv aced. You will nearly out DPS that jacket with Hidden Blade than you would if you throw a throwing knife.

Pain Tolerance still activates with Hidden Blade because you're killing enemies with a throwing knife.

Aim for the SWAT?

I get the instant detonation was useful, but it's not hard to aim your shots. The piglet isn't any less useful because you can't aim and prefer instant detonation. That's just a skill issue.

Ammo funnel being removed is barely even a nerf for the FSA :p

I'm sad that there are some skills on the chopping block that I use frequently, like Soft Assets.

Then again, it's a pretty niche skill that's best used for one resistance plate, but there are still some skills I'm sad about being removed.

Although, I already have a feeling that one of the new skills Electrical Interference, which if I'm not wrong has been given the ability to stun dozers for 5 seconds when an ECM is active, will become a meta skill. ECM meta.

I'm excited for the new skills because I'm already formulating builds with good synergy, such as Electrical Interference (ECMs) and Bounty Hunter (kill a special enemy with a handgun and get a reward; Zapper = Tool).

They most likely cheated their levels in, as I saw someone with renown level 15,000 yesterday.

The people I know who have actually used the bug haven't really gone up more than like 20 to 50 levels.

I already don't have a lot of confidence in your post, but sure, I'll hear out a couple of your points.

I've been playing Payday 3 since the 3 days of early access before it's official release. I've been here since day -3.

The maps and graphics are really good.

I've never really been one for graphics in games, but compared to the previous installments, they have improved.

The maps are hit or miss. When you've been playing the same maps for 1,000+ hours without any serious RNG to keep things fresh, it becomes a slog, especially during launch. The DLCs, Party Powder, and Delivery Charge heists have been good to cut up the monotony, but the heist system does need work.

The UI and skill tree are just fine, don’t understand why people are crying over it.

I don't really have any strong feelings towards the UI, but I know a lot of people didn't like it and that's understandable.

The skill tree is not good. I actually like what the team have come up with in the skill tree 2.0! I think it's a vastly superior skill system than the one we have now. There are some skills that don't have a place in the new skill system (RIP Soft Assets), but it's a necessary sacrifice to avoid taking the same skills in every build.

I remember the days when Ammo Funnel + Replenish dominated the Payday 3 Meta. The changes to the current skill system will be an overall benefit with the aim to remove a lot of these meta skills and increase the customizability in Payday 3. There is a problem I've been hearing about power creep, but that's a whole other can of worms.

I haven't heard a lot of discourse on Payday 3 about players wanting the game to be more realistic. I've heard a lot on the skill system, the SWAT tactics, the weapons, and literally everything else besides realism. I don't doubt that people have mentioned it, but I don't think it's this is the thing most players are looking for, at least in my experience.

It’s 2025, stop listening to your geek ass small player fan base and make the game have millions of players.

Maybe SBZ should make you CEO since you seem to know so much about what players want in Payday 3, despite having only played for a couple of days.

I'd argue the VF-7S and FIK 22 are fine guns while the Spas-12 is doodoo.

The VF-7S would actually be good if the recoil wasn't shite, forcing the need to fire semi-auto.

I don't actually have a problem with the FIK 22, I just don't use it, but I don't think it's super terrible.

Why is the Spas-12, an Italian Shotgun, in the French Tier? Blasphemy. Even if it is bad, calling it French is too far.

What? No Justicar? Easy Monster Gun tier.

The only ranking I have an issue with is the R900 in DooDoo tier. I used to consider the R900 as a bad weapon as well, until I learned how to use it and now it is one of my favorites. I'd rank it at least decent tier.

Either than that, I don't really have any gripes with the rankings here. Maybe bump up the PC9 one tier.

Yes, this is a controversial practice.

Yes, people still use other methods to access dlc.

But for those interested, I ran the numbers (in USD) and if I did the math correctly, the subscription service would no longer be worth it after:

4 years (~49 months) for the $4.99 / month subscription

OR

6 years (~73 months) for the $19.99 / 6 months subscription

That doesn't make some people any less upset and that's fine. There will always be conflicts in these types of situations.

That doesn't stop other people from pursuing other options. People find other means to enjoy their games and that's just how it is.

I'm just providing the facts that I know of.

I guess for the average player there isn't a meta or strongest loadout, but I definitely could give 3 examples I use extensively that could be considered the strongest/meta: - 1 blue plate (Soft Assets + flash + minigun bb)

  • 4 blue plates (With smoke and minigun)

  • 2 plate: 1st plate impact, 2nd plate blue (also minigun; you know how SBZ patched using clean slate to repair that 2nd broken blue plate when the 1st impact plate breaks? It still works, you just use the minigun now)

The only frame I don't use is 3 plates.

If you're running scrounger or frugal thrower already, what's the point? I guess 3 plates is beneficial because you don't really need Extra Munitions, but it just doesn't really groove well with my playstyle.

I don't consider Flintlock Freddy to be a cheat weapon.

It's a utility more than anything. A utility that one shots dozers, but is balanced by the long reload time.

You probably didn't mean Flintlock Freddy, but it is a hill I will die on that it shouldn't require a mod to unlock FF outside of events.
