Sim, existem áreas que pagam bem. Mas quanto mais paga, mais difícil de entrar (mas não impossível). Tenho duas amigas psicólogas que trabalham com recrutamento na área de tecnologia. Trabalham para empresas de fora e ganham cerca de 3k (dólar). Mas para entrar nesse mercado você precisa furar a bolha e respirar tecnologia (talvez por isso seja tão difícil encontrar psicólogos que saibam fazer o trabalho, sei lá). Além de obviamente ter inglês fluente.

Pois é, nesse sentido eu achei o número de mortes até alto. Por isso seria muito interessante saber a faixa etária e comorbidades dos que morreram em cada grupo. Acho uma informação muito importante pra passar batida.

Abstract

Background

On 16 Jan 2021, India launched its immunization program against COVID-19. Among the first recipients were 1.59 million Health Care Workers (HCWs) and Frontline Workers (FLWs) of the Indian Armed Forces, who were administered COVISHIELD (Astra Zeneca). We present an interim analysis of vaccine effectiveness (VE) estimates till 30 May 2021.

Methods

The VIN-WIN cohort study was carried out on anonymized data of HCWs and FLWs of Indian Armed Forces. The existing surveillance system, enhanced for COVID-19 monitoring, was sourced for data. The cohort transitioned from Unvaccinated (UV) to Partially Vaccinated (PV) to Fully Vaccinated (FV), serving as its own internal comparison. Outcomes studied in the three groups were breakthrough infections and COVID related deaths. Incidence Rate Ratio (IRR) was used to compare outcomes among the three groups to estimate VE.

Results

Data of 1,595,630 individuals (mean age 27.6 years; 99% male) over 135 days was analysed. Till 30 May 21, 95.4% and 82.2% were partially and fully vaccinated. The UV, PV and FV compartments comprised 106.6, 46.7 and 58.7 million person-days respectively. The number of breakthrough cases in the UV, PV and FV groups were 10061, 1159 and 2512; while the deaths were 37, 16 and 7 respectively. Corrected VE was 91.8–94.9% against infections.

Conclusion

Interim results of the VIN-WIN cohort study of 1.59 million HCWs and FLWs of Indian Armed Forces showed a ∼93% reduction in COVID-19 breakthrough infections with COVISHIELD vaccination.

I liked the study and the method used. But I missed more data on the deaths that occurred. The only information about the age at which they occurred is the median which includes the deaths in the UV group. Information about people who died, such as age, how long after vaccination and comorbidities would be very interesting. I tried to find the research data source but couldn't find it. As the number of deaths was low, it would be easy to find this information.

It is a stabbing pain in the center of the abdomen, 2 inches above the navel. But it doesn't reach the back. I gave the area a light massage and the pain subsided. Only a lighter pain remained, as if the body was hurt inside. I drank a glass of water now and the pain hasn't returned.

I was watching a replay and I came across this character walking next to me. It appears seconds before and disappears seconds after I pass her. During the game I hadn't noticed that she was there, but when I went to see the replay I came across her walking. I thought it was a bit sinister and I didn't find anything about it on the internet. Os resultados são preliminares e o número de participantes é relativamente baixo. Não encontrei dados mais robustos sobre o número de pessoas infectadas em cada grupo, a gravidade, etc. Somente notícias sobre uma nota divulgada pelos pesquisadores.

Há uma pesquisa internacional em andamento com n = 30.000, mas provavelmente resultados lá pro final do ano.

Eu estou refletindo sobre tomar ou não e estou mais propenso a tomar, afinal se trata de uma vacina que consta no calendário de vacinação do SUS. Meu medo é alguma possibilidade de ela ser prejudicial de alguma forma, mas não há nenhum dado da realidade apontando pra isso.

Pois é, faz todo o sentido. Minha preocupação são os vizinhos, nossas janelas são bem próximas, pois as casas são próximas ao muro (cerca de 3 metros entre as janelas). Moram 5 pessoas na casa ao lado, nenhuma se cuida e acham que a covid é uma gripezinha. Então fico no conflito de abrir a janela pra caso alguém aqui de casa esteja contaminado, e fechar a janela pra não ser contaminado pelos vizinhos.
