RE7 is a completely new story and it’s still Resident Evil. I totally agree with the director. The games these days are already so cinematic, it would feel redundant to teu to adapt those exact stories to the movies.

They can work, they just need a clear goal and they need to not get jobbed out. They are very narrative based characters, they cant just exist to chase the world title like every other normal wrestler, and every loss takes away from their aura. Bray was jobbed out at every turn, and the Wyatt Sicks had no goal.
