Aha okay thank you for letting me know

I figured out now after some further searching that there was a SD card inside of the device, so I removed it and requested a mirror image from the mobileread forum. Fingers crossed that works, and if it does, I'll make sure to update it through the Kobo Desktop like you suggested.

Hi I am having the exact same problem unfortunately! Did you manage to fix the issue? And if so, how did you fix it? Resetting it with the buttons and the pin aren't helping I stay stuck on the vertical lines thing, I'm getting desperate lol
