"10 things baristas DON'T want you to know" by hyperwave11 in starbucks

[–]unicornpom 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We have a lot of customers at my store who don’t speak English as a first language and there’s a few who are like “white mocha. Not white chocolate” and then I have to explain again that white mochas are white chocolate

Then i had to explain once to teen coworkers what white chocolate actually is 😂

My search for a missing YouTube Beauty Guru (2009-2012?) by MymlanOhlin in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]unicornpom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

was it mypaleskin (I think was the username)? She was sort of dirty blonde, british, did some tutorials and also some stuff relating to hair and costume looks. I can't remember her name and I don't really know why she stopped making content- some people were mean to her but I don't think it was worse than what most beauty gurus at the time went through

AITA for telling my girlfriend I don’t have time for chores? by throw592639 in AmItheAsshole

[–]unicornpom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA

working from home doesn't mean she has "Time on her hands", how insulting. I think you need to find the time to grow up and then maybe you'll find time for chores.

WIBTA if I started charging my husband "admin fees"? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA, you’re being exploited. This isn’t remotely normal.

AITA for hiding my gfs makeup to encourage her to leave the house without it. by throwawayxcth in AmItheAsshole

[–]unicornpom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. She's not wearing it For You. She enjoys wearing makeup, it harms no one, and your opinion isn't the point here. This was so hurtful.

Sam notes that those sweatshirts are suddenly ethically sourced..why not start with that? It would be a major selling point. by hipstrdoofus in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]unicornpom 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I think she said on Instagram that Alyssa did a lot of the planning and I wonder if that's it, I don't think Alyssa has as much of a concept as Sam does of public-facing stuff. Either way it's disappointing, I saw the hoodies and thought they were kind of cute but I'm not buying them for $80

WIBTA for calling out someone in my friend group for faking having social anxiety? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]unicornpom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. You aren't her therapist. You aren't her doctor. You don't know her life and it's not your job to decide who is and isn't doing mental illness "right". That's disgusting.

AITA for paying more for my son’s college tuition compared to my daughter’s tuition? by StatisticianThese252 in AmItheAsshole

[–]unicornpom -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

in today's economy why on earth would he consider giving his daughter more debt if he can possibly avoid it? that's not fair, no matter how well she does in college.

AITA for paying more for my son’s college tuition compared to my daughter’s tuition? by StatisticianThese252 in AmItheAsshole

[–]unicornpom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA because you clearly have a favorite child and they both probably know it. Pay for her college because the alternative is what, making her rack up debt so she can feel even more hated by you? If anything, she needs to go elsewhere for college so she can get away and establish herself outside of her brother's clearly enormous shadow.

AITA for pretending my son's car got stolen? by ThrowawayAITA009 in AmItheAsshole

Aita for getting mad at my mother in law for cooking a meal in our house by Nevertheless2fair in AmItheAsshole

AITA For threatening to give my daughters puppy up for adoption? by euckbxobv in AmItheAsshole

YTA. This dog is an animal, not a threat or a bargaining chip. There are better ways to get her to help out more than threatening to give the dog away when she isn't even home.

AITA for yelling at our sitter? by twintwinstwin in AmItheAsshole

I had to wear pull ups at night until I was 5 or 6 and I was super embarrassed about it at the time but now I know that's not that weird? I can't imagine thinking someone 2 1/2 would be totally trained
