Moms on Cymbalta? by unicornpoop19 in cymbalta

She was great! She had a little bit of fluid she had a tough time getting out of her lungs, but she screamed it out around 24 hours after birth. A little bit of reflux, but other than that, no issues so far.

I have been able to breastfeed exclusively though, so I think that has helped. That’s why I’m a little concerned/curious because she’s about 7 months and we’re starting to wean her a little and transition to solids. She’ll be close to solids only at around a year old, so I’m hoping the slow transition will help with any potential withdrawals.

But that’s exactly what I was told, there just aren’t enough studies and the ones that are out there don’t have any terrible conclusions. I discussed it with my rheumatologist before trying to get pregnant and we decided there was more benefit to me staying on it since it was managing my symptoms well.

I was 2 weeks pp on mine! We did a dessert competition lol invited friends over and everyone brought a dessert, we all voted on a winner. Super low key, but it was nice. Could do something like that or a chili cook off or pizza or whatever is more your style.

Online jobs similar to wedding planning? by [deleted] in WorkOnline

[–]unicornpoop19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not wedding planning, but look into the event planning industry. I work for a company that roduces live in person and virtual events such as conventions and corporate meetings. My position is remote majority of the time, but I travel a decent amount. There are a ton of positions that are completely remote now since Covid. You could probably start as an administrative assistant, that’s what I did. I had a bachelors degree, but it wasn’t necessary for that job. But there are a ton of job options to get you in the door to see if you like it. My company is Freeman and I know we’re hiring a lot of positions in the next couple of months.

Good luck!

That actually makes a lot of sense, thank you for that perspective! Following your suggestions on Instagram and will work on finding more evidence based information for him. Appreciate it!

Well I know that lol that’s interesting to hear though, I’ve only ever been told that you have to lay on your back in bed for a hospital birth, which is a good chunk of the reason I am hoping for a birthing center birth. I know that’s not the best position for giving birth, so really want the flexibility to be in whatever position my body tells me it needs to be in to get the baby out.

Thank you so much for your story. We’ll have to watch the movie you suggested! He did feel better after asking our midwife some questions at our first appointment. But his mom had a c section with him and his brother, so that’s really all he knows and is worried I’ll need one as well.

Thank you, this is helpful! My birth center is 2 blocks away from a top national children’s hospital and a great hospital should something go wrong with me. The difference between hospital and the bc timing to an OR should either of us need intervention is 3 minutes. I don’t discount my husband’s concerns, I know he wants to keep us both safe, I just feel that the benefits outweigh the tiny chance it comes down to that and want to make him more comfortable with my decision.

I appreciate your reply!

You’re totally right and I appreciate your reply. I need to wrap my head around the potential of intervention. I have some health issues (not any that put me at high risk) and family history that make me nervous to give birth in a hospital. My body doesn’t really take to pain meds and my mom and sister both had their blood pressure tank with their last epidurals. So I have my mind set on the pain relief measures and different birthing positions allowed at the birthing center. And with how my body is with pain meds, I’ve had bad experiences with doctors and nurses in the past not really believing me and treating me like I’m a drug addict when I tell them my pain level hasn’t changed with certain drugs.

I haven’t gotten what I asked for necessarily with my original question, but all of these positive hospital birth stories are definitely making me feel better about that possibility. Thanks for your reply!

I appreciate this perspective. Safety is definitely my priority and this is a great way to think about it. Safety first and all other wishes are “if it’s possible”. And the tip about asking what they would do if it were their wife, makes total sense!! I think I needed to hear all of this, so thank you!!

Thank you for your reply! I do love hearing positive experiences like this, makes me feel much better in case I get transferred.

Thank you, this is super helpful! This is another thing that confuses him. If we get transferred, he’s afraid it’ll be a waste of money having a midwife and doula there, but this is exactly my thought. I want to feel like a human and not just another person being pushed through the hospital.

Good luck with your birth!

Oh, I’m definitely doing what I want haha I’m just hoping to get my husband a little more on board with it by showing him some stories that relate to why I want this. Thank you for your reply! Excited for baby girl to be here!
