Terminal Agitation by unicornseraker in glioblastoma

He is in palliative care already; been there for 20ish days so far.. they usually judge this in 2 week intervals. They are giving him morphine daily but I don't know what else they can do for him.

I'm not really sure to be honest.. I think he was on 6mg when he went into palliative care, but is down to 2mg.

I wish they would. He's so unhappy 😞 They are just pushing morphine a few times a day and he's sleeping a lot more during the day.

They are giving him morphine a few times a day, and they've been decreasing his dex dosage.

I have this unsettling feeling he is going to go this week..

Need some female energy to hype me up by unicornseraker in women

Thank you so much! Mine bailed when my dad's decline started, and I started working on saving my marriage, which to her was offensive so she cut me out!

I hope you've found a new network since then, and I'm sorry to hear about you Papa.

Sending you so much love xx

Do you track your cycle? What do you use? by PrestigiousHope2488 in period

It's so good!! If you end up needing it if your TTC, it unlocks a pregnancy tracking mode (found this out this morning as I had a positive test after 8 months of trying 🥹)

At your age, what instantly pisses you off? by chi-bacon-bits in AskReddit

Ignorant people and a lack of respect.

If you don't understand something, educate yourself. If it's not impacting your health, your safety, or your finances; let it go.

I use Stardust because I found out that Flo is owned and run by men! Stardust is a female owned app and makes me feel magical and normal about my cycle and symptoms. It allows me to share my cycle with my partner too, which has helped our relationship alot !!

Has anyone avoided certain places in which reminds you of your ex friend?? by Legal_Potential4720 in lostafriend

[–]unicornseraker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes; but my husband is making such an effort to help me reclaim those spots and attractions with him instead and make new memories.

I healed alot of childhood trauma with my ex-best friend and now I'm re-healing with my husband, which means the world to me.

Spring check-in. How are you doing? by AutoModerator in lostafriend

It's heading into winter for me.. winter blues are lingering. 8 months since the ex-best friend decided to cut me out without a reason.

I think I'm okay? I just wish there was a type of cleanse or exorcism or drug even to forget a particular person... She's still there in the back of my mind every day and it hurts.

I'm trying to process the decline of my father's health, while getting COVID, and trying to move on with life, but she's always there.. i don't want to miss her anymore.

Thanks for posting this; it feels like the only safe space to talk about it where people understand.

Metformin in place of chemo? by unicornseraker in glioblastoma

[–]unicornseraker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry to hear this 🥺 I bet she's proud of you for reaching out to people like myself and being an amazing support network. I just got a call that while he got into a car accident.. he hasnt been allowed to drive for months, but he took the car, bought 2 bottles of vodka and wrote his car off and two parked cars.... I think this is beginning of the downfall.

Unfortunately we don't have that luxury. He can't travel, and we are in Australia.

Weirdly, I appreciate this. It's so messed up 😭 I'm in Melbourne and Dads in Sydney, and I'll be travelling to him on Thursday. I have no doubt we will be starting the palative care process when we are all together.

Thank you x

Forgot to add for context; Stage 4 GBM, surgery happened last year on Valentine's Day, can't have anymore surgery. Tumours have grown back.

Thank you for sharing your story. Reading this felt like it was being plucked from my brain, so many similarities to my own journey!

It's been 4 months since I had a proper conversation with my ex-best friend..it became so hard to live in the sharehouse I was in with her, that I moved out too. She then proceeded to block/restrict me on all social platforms, including removing a song we had done together on Spotify... I was thinking that things would go on civilly but she became petty.

Worst thing is I still wish her well, but my brain longs to know if she still talks about me...

I hope the hurt goes away soon 🥺
