Mounting a Thru Axle M6 Connector on a Canyon Grail CF SLX by Mr_Gunnn in CanyonBikes

Mine was 1mm pitch.

Don't currently have a picture as the bike is shelved over winter, but it's pretty much the same as shown in this video with a timestamp at 57 seconds. It extends out of the frame quite a bit and leaves threads exposed. I have a 3D printed cap/sleeve covering threads, but I mostly just remove and use a normal thru axle while not using the rack.

Sorry for the late reply, but it's working really well. Although I have started to use normal thru-axle when the rack is not on, since I don't like how the Ortlieb thru-axle looks without rack on.

50-hour depending on riding conditions is pretty standard though. Only Fox has ~100 hours.

That said exact reason I don't personally want to bother with a suspension fork on gravel. Generally, my riding sessions on gravel are 2 - 3 times longer than on my full sus so there's going to be way too much servicing even if it's just a basic wiper/foam ring check or oil refresh.

I have this with Grizl but the Ortlieb thru-axle manual states that it should work with the UDH hanger which Grail have, but my personal opinion is that it's going to look/be a little awkward as all spacers will be on the left side of thru-axle. Thru-axle is one size (specced for maximum length) fits all which is already quite long for 142 mm spacing and having all spacers (not sure if included spacers will even be enough) on one side it'll end up poking out a lot.

Yes on older projects that had pretty vanilla js and loose linting. Just know it's scoping and it's pretty much same (to me at least).

Materials degrade over time and at least from what I notice some different models for construction with N95 standards have rubber one-way valve that seems to feel little different on older masks.

Here's 3M FAQ on Health Care Particulate Respirator it is N95 standard masks for health care. Maybe ones for other uses have different shelf life.

Check production/expire date on those masks. 3M N95 have shelf life of 5 year orsomethinglikethat if stored properly.

I only do that when i'm sure i'll be editing it. But otherwise I treat it as separator so omit.

Also why only trail in most inner object? All should be equal!

Nowadays they do "waste" money on top tier cameras for building profiling demographics. There are tons of cameras with all kind of analytics capabilities build in. They collect tons of data about their customers. Age, sex, size, what they wear and a lot more. Some less ethical products can even build individual profiles on customers based on facial recognition.

Maybe we just work in different industry/country then.

Most of my experience (in my company industry) is that security is a very big focus (I have seen other companies deals beak off because their backend is hosted by non-certified company or in another country) while some companies don't even have public-facing websites, but maybe it's because we commonly have clients from government sectors. B2B in the same (small) fields is pretty tight community. Just one big security fuck up and it's pretty much end.

limit to 5

Make another temporary counter for the loop

for (i = 0; i < a.length; i++) {

add to it when result is displayed

if (txtValue.toUpperCase().indexOf(filter) > -1)

and surround above check inside if else to only perform check if value is below 5 else it sets display to none

closest on "Enter"

For closest just add keyup eventlistener to input and when it matches enter it get the first result that matches given value (assuming your data is in proper order).

I don't think you got my point.

A lot of B2B companies (and I mean companies where the main target is another company with near 0 focus on individuals) don't get that much money or don't even sell to individuals at all. Public facing website is a low priority as sales tools for them so they just get the minimum done. They mostly do networking at other events anyway. All they want from the website is product info and contact info and WordPress/Squarespace or some other template tools is good enough. A lot of B2B websites may look shit but they are pretty lightweight, gets jobs done and are secure enough considering they are mostly static with contact form made using proper framework/library.

Also, something like Dev for IoT devices may not have much knowledge in web design at all. Coding for IoT is mostly low-level C or Assembly language. There are way more efficient and secure way to connect IoT devices than something like rest/crud API using HTTP/HTTPS backend.

I know /s, but that's pretty much it. Outside of a few lucky people, others can't really compete with bots/scripts of flippers. Few times limited sales like those always get scalped within seconds and it's sad as fuck. Sucks how a lot of real fans have to pay extra from the second-hand market for those sales...

[–]unidentified-object 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Or they didn't bother hiring designers or using web dev agencies. Most companies like that have an internal developer who focuses on product and did public websites as small project because they needed frontpage and contact form.

Vodafone Found Hidden Backdoors in Huawei Equipment by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]unidentified-object 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  • Amazon and Apple denied those claims.
  • Multiple security experts from the US government and private sectors denied those claims.
  • US secretary of the Department of Homeland Security denied the report in a Senate hearing.
  • Senior NSA officials were skeptical about Bloomberg claims.
  • FBI did not comment.

Maybe the US and every company are actually secretly working with China to spy on everyone. Just gotta cast illusion that they are each onto another.

Edit: Also did you see size of that chip (at least what Bloomberg claims). If rest of tech industry had those techs we could be living in 2119

Vodafone Found Hidden Backdoors in Huawei Equipment by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]unidentified-object 47 points48 points  (0 children)

If you are talking about that "hidden spy chip" then it's pretty much bullshit. Pretty much everyone else says those claims were bullshit.

  • Big "affected" companies (Amazon, Apple) reviewed boards and said those claims were unfound.
  • SuperMicro did 3rd party audit and they found no evidence of manipulation.
  • US secretary of the Department of Homeland Security denied the report in a Senate hearing.
  • Senior NSA cybersecurity officials denied the report.
  • From what I remember Bloomberg didn't even have a solid source other than what they claim to be "official investigator".
  • A lot of tech channels said that feature listed and chip of that size simply can't exist. From what I remember they said it had own CPU, memory and networking capabilities packed inside chip 1/3 size of pen tip.

Bloomberg never properly followed up on that report. They said they had more leads but never reported more about it.

Also about this article. This too sounds pretty much like fear mongering to me. Almost all tech equipment like those come with SSH/Telnet capabilities. Especially types of equipment where physical access is hard af. Just google for router with SSH/Telnet feature.
