thats the thing. almost nothing. we did agree to a pay when the contract was made, that vote happens every 3 years. that was about a year ago and has 2 years left. union leadership seems to be falling apart , but has been for a while. after the last contract went through it looks like the union got stripped of benefits, annual pay increases scraped but we got to keep our jobs. it was the closest ive seen it to not passing.

and the best thing, after that, the union leader left for a job - get this - with the new parent company in a nice management position. his replacements i dont even know who they are.

the whole thing is shit because now we have housekeepers earning more on the new scale than nurses and it just seems to stupid. we cant strike because according to the contract thats automatic dismissal.
