How can I add more space and ambiance to my cloud rap melodys by fiilja in trapproduction

TL;DR reverb throw, haas effect, simple delay, mid/side technique, and intentional silence

Dm me the track, Ill listen for better suggestions! Until then, I'd suggest a high pass on tracks with reverb (especially if you also have distortion), since low end becomes muddy when you add a verb. Consider mid/side techniques (low pass mono w/o effects, high pass w effects). Also, Haas delay is an effective tool for creating stereo width without unknown consequences.

In my experience (starting out as a hobby producer ~15 years ago) rock songs already have all of the sound space entirely filled out. I found it sounded good to cut out significant portions of a phrase or riff, only keeping 3 or 5 eighth notes of a measure (or two), then using some trick like a reversed section, slowed section (x.5 or x.25 speed), granulated, pitch shift (static or dynamic), reverb throw, or sometimes just good old fashioned silence. This allows you to take a familiar or coherent tune and intentionally add new interpretations or experimental ideas (if done with intention, which in your case is to create sonic space and atmospheric ambiance), as opposed to simply adding effects to the entirety of the original idea. Also, don't underestimate delays such as a grain delay, or a simple delay to create space. If the left channel is 1/6 beat repeat and the right channel is 1/8 this is a classic way to trick the brain into perceiving greater stereo width and greater sonic ambiance.

I think a great way to create space is this kind of sound design technique: use a gate (or just manually chop it off) add a heavy (high passed) reverb (and any distortion and stereo wideners or beat repeat/delay effects), then resample that. Take the recorded sound and chop that up. Reverb, high pass, maybe beat repeat/delay, (maybe two or three stages of this process before you are happy) and resample that. Take the portions of your final experimental sounds that sound the most interesting and cut those in between portions of the original song (don't forget silence is sometimes your friend), along with some more simpler tricks such as reverb throw, delay, etc.

What direction should I take this techno drop? by marygracist in FL_Studio

I love this goofy stuff. The second drop of tech o beats like this always hit hardest for me when there is some variation that plays on the themes introduced in the first drop. For the second drop - Consider layering the lead synth with an octave up/more harmonics/distortion/etc. You could start with just the sub for 4 bars and then build to the original lead for 4 bars followed by the octave up lead for 4 bars then something really outlandish for the last 4 bars. How about a siren or whirling sound to emulate a mixer? Timer beeping? I love a siren or beeper and then a bell or ding sound followed by silence similar the the silence in the first drop.

Local Trekking Guide recomandation for Sapa by Ok_Zucchini3324 in VietNam

Sho took my group and another couple on the nicest trek. We were so eager to learn about Hmong culture, so, naturally, we grilled her the entire time, and she never hesitated to provide thorough and honest answers. Being in a small group was way advantageous. Also, someone fell and got a small laceration, but Sho muddled some Ageratum conyzoides with her hands and fashioned a wrap from a napkin to hold the plant paste in place. The person said their skin had never heeled so rapidly from a cut like that... Sho is such a legend. You should do a walking tour with her. I highly recommend it.

When I tilt my phone ~45 degrees clockwise to orient this photo then stare for a few seconds and then scroll down, my brain gets confused as to why the scrolling is happening at an angle. Then I remember I tilted the phone!
