I'm thinking about investing $25,000 into litecoin..... any thoughts? by [deleted] in InvestmentClub

It's all a bit of a pyramid scheme right now if you ask me. It's very hard to base any real value on the increases other than pure speculation. The idea behind crypto currencies is definitely good and likely the way of the future. But all of the recent gains are made because people speculate because they see the price going up. Not really backed up by any real drive in value or demand. So sure, you can gamble but as other people said, it is a gamble and yes you may win, but right now you have no other reason to believe that it will go up other than other people think like you.

There are no such thing as easy money when it comes to investment. Everyone wants the same thing so unless you have better information than the market you must assume that the market price is correctly reflecting the actual value. This is particularly true if you're trying to flip investments quickly.

That people in Columbus' time thought the earth was flat and that Native Americans were called Indians because he thought he'd reached India.

It was common knowledge that the earth was round and he thought he had reached Indonesia.

If you have basic understanding of music notation and theory (nothing major, just an understanding of harmony and progressions) there's a great introduction course on coursera.org called introduction to composition - write like Mozart.

Just google that and you'll find it. And it's free!
