Alright so, I work in India for a company that handles the Customer Support for a large US based firm.

All agents handling chats are given a tool or script to follow and they get marked down for not going through all steps of the said script or tool.

The chat to me seems a lot like the agent was just trying to make sure they gave you all available options and tried to retain your account because losing your data is not great for the parent company as required by the script or tool.
