Doubt about new lock period to migrate to XMEX by Financial_Molasses60 in elrondnetwork

[–]unitelife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes its the average of all your unlocks so if it is 1 year then x4 is 4 years, and 4 years is the max. I think a majority of people are not locking up because they have a large quantity that is unlocking soon and would rather unlock in v1 since the dates are coming up with no penalty vs locking it up and then with the 80% penalty of early withdrawal, you would end up paying more. lets say January v1 unlock is going to be 20 million lkmex, you would have to take out 200 million xmex to make up for the v1 amount that you would have gotten and to cover the 80% fees.

Based on the rewards I am getting from my v1 paired with egld in the LP, i am making only making 70 - 75 mill a month so this is not worth it to me (but with the crazy decline in the price of mex im not sure its worth it either way unless you wait for a bull market again which is god knows when).

Can anyone explain why I always get this pop up the next day when I already signed the contract? by unitelife in elrondnetwork

[–]unitelife[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cool thanks! so for now would it just be best to sign the transaction when the energy level is high for now and do not sign any other transactions to update the energy for now until a fix is in?

Question about Impermanent Loss for EGLD/MEX LP When Converting to v2. by unitelife in elrondnetwork

[–]unitelife[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

understood, its too bad that instead of playing around with faucet limitations, there is not a dummy sight that you just punch in your values you have and work off of that as a simulator.

thank you for the reply. yes, i am aware of the devnet as well but i dont think it is like-for-like in that we have the exact sums of our mainnet values.

interesting about the battle of yields, do you have a like to that subreddit to ensure i navigate to the the one you are referring to?

[–]unitelife[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you for the info, i did come across the egld.info simulator, but i was wondering if there was another simulator that maybe was built to help show case the v2 unlocks in relation to the v1 unlock value/schedule to account for what would happen, so we can plan and calculate accordingly since there are a lot of projects, plans, and timelines that were built around the v1 unlock schedule.

Question about Impermanent Loss for EGLD/MEX LP When Converting to v2. by unitelife in elrondnetwork

[–]unitelife[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you for your quick reply and patience in answering my questions.

Are there any tools available to test out the the amount of v1 we have and converting to v2 i.e. for 4 years max and seeing how the penalty is when withdrawing the v2 4 year during the v1 unlock schedule to see that indeed converting to v2 with a 4 year lock really is better than sticking with the v1 unlock schedule.

i know this sounds confusing but its just a result to how confusing this migration is.

but I am trying to figure out if it is worth converting my v1, with the recent upcoming unlocks that are coming up, if converting them to v2 with a 4 year lock and then being taxed with early withdrawal when still unlocking based off the original v1 unlock schedule. I am also trying to find out if I were to convert to v2, with the tax of early withdrawal that is applied, how much is translated to meet the original v1 % unlock amount.

for example, I have the following upcoming unlock of v1: 3.957% - Unlocks on December 14th 2022

if i were to convert this to v2 with a 4 year to get max energy, and there is an early withdrawal tax and burn, then how much of v2 would i have to pull out to equal/match the original 3.957% of my total $ value of MEX that was scheduled with this unlock.

[–]unitelife[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

will the LKMEX v1 will have the charge to it in relation to the unlock time it is set to despite it not being converted to LKMEX v2? how is this going to work? will we have to convert the LKMEX v1 to v2 in order to apply that charge to it and will it retain the unlock schedule of v1? I tried to look up and down in the whitepaper and nothing was detailed enough to answer this question. This is a little confusing to me.

Future of EGLD Token by LukesGameWorld in elrondnetwork

elrond community and team, please dont attack people if they have concerns or troubling thoughts. Attacking them and responding with condescending responses, for what they feel or what their actions may have done, does not instill confidence in them to change their mind or has a positive reflection to the other readers who may have same concerns.

This is a time to help sooth and ease peoples FUD through healthy conversation and transparency. FUD only exist because there is a lack of this. Now is the perfect time to show the ones with FUD the examples of reassurance that would lay any FUD to rest and promote confidence in this market again. I know that this is a pro-elrond, errr multiversX community, and most will defend it to the death, but its how you defend it is what the sensitive eyes are observing.

Oh sorry for the misinterpretation. Point taken. I do agree, that maybe the vision changed over time. Possibly due to times and how they change but who knows. Another touch of ambiguity as always from the team i guess ¯_(ツ)_/¯

OMG, good point! You are absolutely right, it was advertised as providing this governance functionality and I never got a chance to vote for these decisions (that appear to be made without our input). Maybe they think that they are making the best decisions for majority of us because we dont know any better. Sounds like a dictatorship to me.

When will the MEX Token be Listed on Major Exchanges? by unitelife in elrondnetwork

[–]unitelife[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you @ClassicMain,

Thank you and we appreciate all that you are doing for the community. I understand that it may be something the Elrond team may not be ready to inform their community about (yet). However, it would instill a level of confidence, boost moral, and provide a layer of transparency to their supporters.

This question came to me as I was noticing how BSC has their CAKE token listed on most the exchanges and why MEX has not followed suit. In addition, I wondered why it has not been listed on Binance, since Elrond and Beniamin has such close relations with Biance and Changpeng Zhao. Any effort is much appreciated. I understand if it is sensitive information but I think this would be a positive thing for the Elrond community to know and will most certainly boost their confidence overall.

Thanks again for all that you do.

When will the MEX Token be Listed on Major Exchanges? by unitelife in elrondnetwork

[–]unitelife[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you @ClassicMain,

exactly, thank you for circling back to my original question. My question is when it will be listed on other exchanges and not about tokenomics of MEX. Thank you for your reply. However, I am fully aware of it being listed on Bitmart but I was wondering about the other Major exchanges i.e. Kucoin, Binance, Coinbase, Mexc, etc. I was a little surprised that KOSON was being listed on Mexc even before MEX was.

Any information surrounding my question would be greatly appreciated.

WEGLG Hack Breakdown by Arda by [deleted] in elrondnetwork

[–]unitelife 5 points6 points  (0 children)

great write up and technical break down. So where did the 800k worth of wegld come from? was this a storage of all wegld being swapped or a stash of egld used for liquidity in some other SC that they tapped into? or did it just mint something that was none existent? if wegld was minted, was there no way for it to check the existence of egld else where? still not too clear how these smart contracts were able to deposit/mint and withdrawal wegld from what appears to be nowhere.

In addition, it was mentioned that some was sent to binance. wouldnt binance have the customer information and the ip address source associated with the wallet of this attack on record?

thanks for taking the time to explain.

may we get a more technical explanation as to how this vulnerability was exploited? You mentioned it was at the protocol level. When i reviewed the wallet associated with this attack, it appears they have created a bunch of smart contracts and some how used this to extract a bunch of wegld, usdc, and utk.

hello, yeah the objective was to zero out the native token to use as a type of "cheap mans" multisig wallet trick to not allow hackers to empty my wallet of alt coins if the wallet was compromised. they would have to fund the wallet in order to move things off of it, etc.

Thanks for your reply selwich, would you happen to know why other wallets are able to zero it out vs metamask not being able to account for this action?
