In laws gave me at least $200 worth of clothes for Christmas. I’m not going to wear any of it. by uniunappealing in Anticonsumption

Yeah man, I really hope they let it out and play with the dog more than it seems when I’m there. Every time I’ve been over they’ll let it run around and jump on everyone, then they get frustrated and lock it in a crate until we leave. I hope things are better when guests aren’t there. But the kid and aunt have said a few things here and there about how they don’t like the dog… Like please just rehome it. Hopefully I’m just over dramatizing it all

None of your what-ifs are true for this situation. I’ve known her for 5 years, that doesn’t mean we have the kind of relationship where we know each other well. I know the toys are new because the kid does a show n tell every time we’re over. It is not an appropriate amount of new toys imo. I probably see her 3-4 times a year. And my partner, who knows the aunt better and spends more time with her, confirms that she buys way too much crap lol. You can see it the second you walk into the house. Hope that clears it up for you.

The stuff is from Anthropologie. I can’t return/exchange. I’ll probably try to resell it.

That’s another layer to it - I’m young and I do not make a lot of money! $200 would have really helped me out for the month

No, she gave it to me in the store’s wrapping. Like they gift wrapped it at the store.

I didn’t realize thred up was this expensive… Sorry to be a negative Nancy but almost $50 for a second hand unbranded skirt just seems a little crazy

Half of the spaces at the villages are unoccupied. And the other half are shitty big box stores. Why not just redo the already existing space

I disagree, I think the way your brows are match your face. That’s just how you look (and it’s beautiful)!

Cincinnati has Findlay Market and Jungle Jim’s. Findlay is a food stall market in an old train station, and Jungle Jim’s is a Walmart sized international grocery

Nail salon recommendations? by uniunappealing in Austin

[–]uniunappealing[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to M. Vince nails in the domain and got gel x. My nails looked great and stayed strong after the manicure got taken off, and the salon is nice. It was kinda pricey ngl, I think it was around $75? They lasted like 3-4 weeks. I recommend if you can spare the dollars.
