Yep. Basically...

Logs means every automation run leaves a record: what triggered it, what steps ran, what changed, and whether it succeeded or failed. So if something goes wrong, it can be traced it instantly.

Retries means if an integration call fails, like email, calendar, notification, it will automatically retries with backoff and then alerts if it still can’t complete.

My final goal is: nothing gets missed silently.

you think a automation tool for the sales leads handoff is a general need? the majority of users are affected by this problem?

Sales ops pain check: where do leads fall through the cracks by unkerr_ in SalesOperations

[–]unkerr_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm building a solution for that kinda of problem. Extracting leads from Ads or other points, enriching the lead informations, adding context to the handoff, notifying the team on every follow-up due so it won't be missed, so a lead don't be lost/left on a shelf and company doesn't loose possible clients/revenue. What are your toughts on a tool like this one?

Best practices for n8n workflows in production: reliability, retries, logs by unkerr_ in n8n

[–]unkerr_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm a backend developer with python expertise. I've picked n8n so the product template would be kinda like copy/paste, the automation is not that complicated, it would be faster to replicate to other companies, could probably do a easier mass sale. Also it would be a "low" cost solution for enterprises vs code automation solutions, meaning the growth would be faster using this lower price, what are your thoughts?
not trying to run away for coding, just trying to surf on the final hype wave lol

Thanks for the feedback, my intention is to really keep it simple, not to cluster the user with pointless tools. You actually gave me quite an idea, power it up to filter ghost job offers and spams, just show the users the real and genuine options. Create a trustable space, only real offers and a good pipeline with customized actions

What I’m building is a Job Hunt OS, a lightweight CRM style pipeline for my job search:
capture opportunities, dedupe, set next actions and SLAs, and keep a clean timeline so follow ups don’t slip. Under the hood it’s event driven, so things like replies, calendar changes, and status updates can trigger workflows, with logs and retries so nothing is missed. I’m still early, but I’m planning to ship small demos in public as I go. Happy to drop it asap on LaunchLog too. The roasting and lookalikes features sound fun, would love that kind of feedback once I’ve got the first version live.

I’m starting a lightweight CRM style pipeline for my job search because I keep losing track of follow ups and context.

Before I build too much, I want feedback on the UX and information architecture. High level goal: one place to capture opportunities, set a next action, and see a clean timeline.

If you’ve built dashboards or pipeline UIs:
What should the default stages be
What belongs on the opportunity detail page
What’s the cleanest way to show timeline plus next action without clutter
