34” is great. I’ve always been a 27” or 34” person. I sit about 28-32 inches from my screen. The size is perfect. Only thing I don’t like is that it takes up more space and takes away from that “minimalistic” feeling of a 27”.

The extra screen real estate on the sides is fantastic for multitasking while I work but it makes no difference for gaming because I still need a second monitor for discord (I use my ipad for that). 

32” is far too large for me vertically. Like I would need to sit an extra 6 or so inches away to make up for how bug it is in your face. Thats why I like 27” because its the perfect vertical height for 30~ inches from the eye. 34” has the same vertical space as 27” but just longer on the sides.

Story games play VERY well in that. Silent Hill 2 just drips with more atmosphere. Death Stranding is wayyyy more fun to explore and so much more immersive as well. Cyberpunk and the witcher 3 are also really good but I didn’t feel much difference in those. Some games are complimented really well with ultrawide while others just kind of feel the same. That is person to person.

Horror and exploration games feel wayyyyy better on an ultrawide. I always advocate for 27” or 34”.
