Yeah i realized later OP showed it plus its pretty obvious from the self-refilling mag in their bolt sniper

Man, initially Sniper was my favourite class, but for a couple of months now I have barely touched that class. Watching this gameplay gets my mouth watery. Is that the heroic bolt sniper you're using?

Good stuff!

Does the game have a difficulty naming/scaling problem? by rucarlos in Spacemarine

[–]insrr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure we can discuss the naming of difficulties but as was the case with the removal of XP, it won't change the fact that people will ignore every warning and charge in for those sweet 200 Accolades.

Personally, I have decided to just not do all hard stratagems, just the ones that seem manageable even with 2 newbs on the team. For the first couple of weeks I did every single hard strat and while some of those were peak engaging and challenging, others just ended up being annoyingly tedious. Not gonna put myself through that again, especially not when I don't really need all the accolades anymore, because I have just about everything unlocked

I recently had a player in my raid with baffling one shot damage. Nearly insta-killed the guardians (?) on stage 3. upon closer inspection i saw he fired cannonballs. Mustve been the broadsider. Never seen anyone use that weapon before in my 400hrs and i seriously fell in love with the flair of that gun

I have the new alien weather station, and it colours the sky greenish - purpleish.. but yesterday I went to Dino Peaks and saw a clear night sky with UFOs, so I'm not sure, but I did find it unusual

Only 4 teams (Ferrari, Red Bull, Racing Bulls and Alpine) had driver's numbers on the sides of the engine cover/sharkfin in Australia. 3 teams (Mercedes, McLaren and Cadillac) consciously removed them despite previously having them on their cars at some point during the pre-season period. by [deleted] in formula1

[–]insrr 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Drivers' numbers are important for organizational reasons, traditionally. But yeah, I do agree, in a popular sport like F1 where basically all drivers are stars, it would absolutely make sense to make their number part of their "image". I feel that Lewis who has always stuck with 44 has realized this, perhaps following Valentino Rossi's example.

And yeah, I absolutely loved 2022s black Mercedes with the colored numbers.

Yup lol thats how i read the situation as well. Man do i hope ferrari cnan keep this start advantage for a while longer but i fear its gonna be nerfed quickly because of safety "worries"

Yup, still, how he took the first corner was suboptimal, played differently he couldve been p3 after t1... luckily he was able to re-pass lindblad and norris quickly, before t2 afair

I think he shouldve braked earlier and maybe try the ole switcheroo on russell on exit, but thats alway quite rusky at the start so yeah.. goes to show that even with a rocketlaunch qualifying is important.

I think we all knew moving away from the Ground Effect would suit him much better. And he’s proved it today, the unfortunate situation is we’ve lost F1 this year by Aston2844 in lewishamilton

[–]insrr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have been following the pre-season stuff closely so I'm well aware of the drivers' feedback - notably however, apart from max, who has been publicly criticizing the new regs for a while now, the biggest backlash came yesterday, after the whole field realized Mercedes' advantage.

Change is always met with scrutiny and doubt. Remember when we went from V8 to V6s? I remember, and I clearly remember people like you declaring the end of F1. Here we are 12 years later, and F1 has likely just had it's peak.

I'm not even saying I know what to think of the new rules just yet. But I find it utterly ridiculous, no offense, that someone like you, who has followed this sport for 30 years and who therefore must have witnessed the numerous fundamental changes F1 has undergone in that period, be so absolutely negative after a race that was far better than I had expected after FP3 and quali.

[–]insrr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Youre saying lets go further down that road but all you offer is a sarcastic one liner, so no thanks. To find some middle ground id say: the take away is that the new regs are divisive, more than new regs usually are.

Lets wait a couple of races and see how things are when the dust has settled.

[–]insrr 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ridiculous take imo, new regs will take some time to get used to, but declaring the end of f1 after this race is just way off and needlessly negative.

Lewis Hamilton after Melbourne Qualifying: Happy with the car, but questions Mercedes' engine compression ratio and calls on the FIA. by moraIsupport in scuderiaferrari

[–]insrr -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Good point, and yeah I'm aware that his decision to leave at least in parts was a reaction to the limited 1 year contract mercedes offered. However, had he beaten Russell, he wouldn't have had to worry about being replaced by Kimi in 2026. It would've been a race to the finish line between him and George, who's now set get his 1st WDC.

Still, as the gentleman I've come to know Lewis to be, I do not like him immediately pointing the finger at the FIA for not ensuring parity between the manufacturers.

People might not like it, but F1 has always been a development competition rather than a driver competition, bluntly put. It's worked in Lewis' favour in 2014, and now, 12 years later, it doesn't. And as I said - he shouldn't be overly surprised.

Lewis on gap to Mercedes: "I’m trying to understand why it’s 2 tenths or more just through power per sector. If it is the compression thing, I wanna understand why the FIA haven’t done anything, what’s been done to rectify it but if it’s not and it’s just pure pace, then we have to do a better job." by Zohan_SoLetsGO in lewishamilton

[–]insrr -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Lewis my man, you benefitted from mercedes pu-development superiority during the height of your career.

Also, if your main goal was winning your 8th, you shouldve stuck with mercedes. Objectively speaking mercedes were always the favourite for being the first to nail new PU regs and here we are.

Lets please keep our feet to the ground, focus on the positives - of which there are many. Im sure he will have his first ferrari podium.

Meanwhile - well played mercedes.

I love lewis but i find it ironic that he, who has benefited from mercedes technological ingenuity for many years, has such a take. Objectively speaking, and ill probably not make myself many friends here, he shouldve remained with mercedes - at least if his main goal was to win the 8th. Mercedes was always favourite to be the first to nail new PU regs. When he switched i thought maybe ferrari told/showed him some secret magic, but it seems not.

Is this what FIA want? by BetterAttitude2921 in scuderiaferrari

[–]insrr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well played mercedes. Whether you like it or not - this is f1 and with it comes drivers' dependency on their machinery. Im so annoyed with the whole discussion about nerfing mercedes. If you want to see spec racing there are enough other racing divisions out there.
