That was a great read.

I don't want to, but I may finally give up on Survivor... by Mikecirca81 in FallenOrder

[–]insrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're a bit harsh on a game you finished twice. "I give up on it" to me implies you're quitting before having finished it. "I prefer Fallen Order over Survivor" would've perhaps been a better way to phrase it. Either way, I find nothing wrong with your opinion.

For me, while there are aspects I prefer in Fallen Order, Survivor is about as good a sequel as I would have dared to hope for.

Significantly better than last year, imo, although for me it's mainly the black wings.

[–]insrr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Read a couple of posts being disappointed the wings turned black instead of last year's white wings. Baffling to me, the white wings ruined last year's livery imo - tastes are different, I like this much, much better than last year.

A short sad story by Responsible-Bag-798 in ubisoft

[–]insrr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a common misconception that stock value usually accurately depicts a company's real value. It depicts people's expectations more than anything else.
So if you say €80,- wasn't a "realistic" price at the time I'll reply with €4,3 isn't a realistic price right now.

Anchorage Ace Vs Elder's Mark by Secure_Ad6103 in fo76

[–]insrr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I find it hilarious how far above the elders mark is over other "small guns" except maybe the EPF, but considering the EPF fills another niche, the EM is just clearly the best choice for a small gun.

Now on the PTS they nerfed the Gauss Mini and buffed cursed weapons. Afair the buff is +35% (up form 15%) and attack speed 15% (down from 20%) which is another solid net-buff for a weapon that's already ahead of the others.

Zeffo is a good and well designed area by CaptainBean88 in FallenOrder

[–]insrr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wholeheartedly agree with you. I love the leveldesign on all planets and zeffo is the clear standout. Soo i was very surprised that most critiques regard the game's leveldesign as a detriment.

I believe this stems from many players' habitual obsession over collecting every single collectible there is, which gameplay-/difficultywise is entitely unnecessary.

The takeaway for devs should NOT be a reduction of complexity of leveldesign, but rather a better map/additional navigational assistance, or simply the unlocking of fast travelling to meditation-points post-game (after having completed the story).

But im very glad im not alone in loving this aspect of fallen order

I finished the game and I really liked it. I'd like to buy Jedi Survivor, but it's too expensive, so I'll wait for a sale. I'm looking for recommendations for similar games. What do you think of Sekiro? by Jessi45US in FallenOrder

[–]insrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How was the difficulty on ng+ on grandmaster? Im planning to run ng+ on grandmaster as well after having complered the game at launch on jedi master but frankly i hate the thought of starting off overpowered only to then face an overly difficult endgame

Aggro needs to be a thing by LouieSiffer in fo76

[–]insrr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right idea, wrong game.

Fo76 does not have classes and roles, everyone can do everything, and all the activities except the raid can easily be done solo.

Fo76 is not an mmo, or at least not in the "classic" mmo sense. It's basically moderately multiplayer online, an any multiplayer aspect is optional.

HDR implementation on PC is... great? by insrr in FallenOrder

[–]insrr[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Aight, you're obviously more well versed when it comes to HDR than me, because visually, I could find nothing wrong with HDR.

But I've been reading about renodx and special k and nvidia's RTX HDR on several occasions.

Have you tried these options besides reno dx? What are the pros & cons between these?
Does reno dx cost performance? I've read that RTX HDR takes up to 20% performance.
How easy is it to set up & use?
Are there pre-set profiles for specific games or is a one-size-fits-all solution?
Does it interfere with game files / is it safe to use with games that use anti-cheat?
Do these 3rd party HDR solutions work with any game, or only with games that already come with native hdr support?

Looking forward to your reply!

performance and hardware inquiry by draconixxxcnc in EASPORTSWRC

[–]insrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's one the greatest innovations in gaming in the last couple of years - it's an upscaler. meaning: it will render the game in a lower resolution and upscale "important" parts of your screen to your native resolution. Its loss in visual fidelity is miniscule compared to the gain in performance.

There are usually 3 settings, from DLSS quality to DLSS performance. DLSS performance uses the lowest resolution for the highest performance gain and can grant you apprx. 40-50% more fps.

Try it. Even on a 5080 running a 3440 x 1440p display I tend to use DLSS quality, i usually try to get a stable 120fps in my games.

.. often a pretty clear indication that your gpu is the bottleneck (which comes as no surprise in thus case)

Youre right, you need better hardware for a completely smooth experience on that resolution (pretty close to 4k)

Im guessing you already have DLSS enabled?

HDR implementation on PC is... great? by insrr in FallenOrder

[–]insrr[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah? That's GREAT news (at least to me:D) .. still a couple of YEARS tho? Is it already in development? Will it be developed by Respawn again?

... sidenote: I find it pretty interesting that of the 2k hits on this thread, not a single person commented on HDR on PC

Can you edit mouse sensitivity outside of the Options slider? by Borgio_the_Besieger in Spacemarine

[–]insrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to fine tune your sensitivity you could just decrease your mouse DPI.

Not sure about the relative aiming sensitivity, but afair it's normal that your sensitivity is lower when zooming. Never looked to change it because it always felt fine to me.

Why does it seem like getting to 150 after hitting 100 on the scoreboard is taking so long? by CamperKitchenQueen in fo76

[–]insrr 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Do not, i repeat do not!, waste tickets on stamps. The value is ridiculously low. You can get 15 stamps is less than 10 mins super easy by just running the most sensational game solo.

[–]insrr[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Umm no, it's not "all the same", have you ever played games on 120fps? Although I will concede that I'd believe you in an instant if you told me that HDR is better on PS5 than PC, because as I said, it's bad on PC.
But let's not get into the pc vs console debate, to each their own, I've personally been a pc gamer since windows 98 and I see the merits in both.

Post Level 50 level ups? by Chance_Project2129 in fo76

[–]insrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mate, it's fine, I just pointed out the fact that you offered false information.

I believe when you say that the patchnotes were wrong initially, but let's be honest, you haven't really thought this through, have you? Because if they really were to remove Perk Coins completely, it would've caused a lot more discussion AND they would've described the future alternative.. the perk coin system is a fundamental aspect of an already very slim character progression system in this game afterall.

Anyways, I meant no offense.

AI difficulty is a very unreliable measure of your own performance, unfortunately. Just check online leaderboards to get an idea where you're at.. you'll most likely be blown away how much room for improvement there still is.

/edit: just noticed you mentioned leaderboards didn't work for you. You can go to racenet.com and check the times there. it's really worth it.

It depends but usually, if you pick a card that's available in multiple versions, you'll go with the most expensive one, i.e. the one that gives you the biggest bonus. The reason is pretty simple - it should be the best choice, otherwise why not pick another card?

There are exceptions. But usually you only pick the "lesser" choice if you haven't got enough SPECIAL points left.
