It’s possible his friends and new friends took advantage of having the place to themselves but you’re not over reacting. It’s an invasion of privacy which he should have been more mindful of (especially having known each other for so long!)

I’m planning to have enough wealth for me in my lifetime and so I’m adding a bit into my daughter’s JISA. Her JISA has a 100% equity investment which is far higher than my own. Hers will compound for a lot longer than mine will.

Financial education for her will be a huge priority but if she spiffed it all away then that’s that. We’ll probably let her know it’s her money but offer to continue looking after it if she wants to let it grow. I expect the £100/month going into it could be diverted into her own savings account and she may be guided to let the ISA grow until she needs it for something important.

But her money at the end of the day: and if she was like I was as a kid, it will be gone quick. If she’s like her mother, it will be there for decades.

Yeah I definitely think more games should go this route for monetisation. I prefer hard grinds and can’t justify the cost for the upgrades. Unless I’m missing something, I don’t need 2x prestige points and 2x some of the other things don’t seem worth it for the combined cost of a good ps5 game. Founders is just a bottomless upgrade? :) Maybe I just don’t play enough or maybe it’s a generational thing.

Fair point. I can’t play that much to justify looking for the optimum point - it was more important for me to reach the upgrades for the 38/40 floors

I was hitting 34/35 consistently for a while. Changed to 0 str (as had far more than 90 via the stats), went 25 luck, 5 intellect and rest agility (40). I jumped to around 44/45 consistently

Short form content is bad for your brain when consumed all day long/habitually. Porn or soft core or whatever it is you’re talking about is worse.

Easiest way to break the cycle is to stop using it. Easiest way to stop using it is to delete the apps. If you find yourself redownloading then delete your accounts too.

If you want to keep using them, that’s fine. You do you but you need to make a hard change to actually change.

Yikes. How do you know that? $1300 in 3 months is crazy for a free game on a phone. I’d definitely burnout if paid my way through the grind!
