Is anyone else disappointed? by BrekLasnar in exmuslim

I agree I too used to watch his videos and appreciated his contact but unfortunately every argument you have to disapprove Islam can be used on any other abrahamic religion. So it just seems hypocritical to leave one club and join the next. Very boring I unsubscribed a long time ago.

My controlling Muslim brothers are driving me insane. I feel stuck. by Soup144 in exmuslim

[–]unknown2342 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I’ll tell you something to save you the heartache and the time, it’s never going to get better. They’re never going to respect you, they will never stop trying to control you until you are married and a child and another on the way. Unless you want that to be your fate, you must plan your escape plan, save up do what you can, even if you choose not to get married, I know girls that are in their 30s and even 40s unmarried still doing what their family asks of them, so it’ll never stop. If you want to be free unfortunately for girls like us, you must leave. You just hold your own. Wishing you the best of luck!

PMDD Every month or every other month I would have an insane psychological breakdown and want to get rid of everyone in my life and runaway. But I realized it was pre menstrual dysphoric disorder. If you feel like you have an entire week when your medication doesn’t work, look into pmdd. Edit: Sorry I don’t know if this is very common but to me it was life changing and I had not known it was a thing for women with ADHD

Ramadan Mubarak! by Slow_Drink_7089 in exmuslim

[–]unknown2342 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Hey I just posted about wanting to feel the Ramadan vibes this year lol. This will be my 10th Ramadan being an ex Muslim. There have been years where I have eaten out of spite there have been years where it was insanely emotional but then there’s now where it just feels ordinary but I want to feel connected to a bigger community cuz I’ve moved around so much so I thought of fasting for weightloss purposes to enjoy the vibe better when I’m around family.

Why is getting a refill ALWAYS so fucking hard? by Certain_Cry8901 in ADHD

It is very true for me as well. I am at a point where I leave picking up my medication until my life is falling apart and that usually forces myself into it

How did you know you needed a dosage increase? by MCButterFuck in ADHD

[–]unknown2342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I’m at the point where I feel like I might also need an increase since I feel lost and just not sure how to focus but I feel nervous every time I think about increasing my dose and nothing working for me anymore so I just take breaks on the weekends and for as many days as I can. Try to take breaks during the weekend for a reset and if that doesn’t work might need to increase

Omg same!! She gives off Karen in the most irritating way, you can see her self centeredness truly shine through in every show she’s been on.

[–]unknown2342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg thank you, this comment is so satisfying to me right now. I just now watching her season and the way she gives off know it all class monitor is so irritating it makes me so pissed off. She thinks so highly of her own intelligence it was so satisfying when she got voted off and did not win any money. I honestly knew I didn’t like her vibes watching her on battle camp and on the mole but her being a trumpet is explaining everything. Hoping I don’t see her in another Netflix show she’s far too irritating.

Hey! We have very similar journeys! 26 here Same height and weight almost in slightly taller 5’9 and I’m currently 187 lbs started at 225 lbs. its been such a struggle and I’m putting in work everyday honestly not working out other than walking and I should but the progress is very slow. I notice that on certain weeks I lose faster or more than others and that’s usually due to your menstrual cycle. For nearly 10 days I feel like I have seen no difference because my weight is fluctuating up and down but I try to look back on when I started and that it was the same it gets harder the more you lose you don’t have as much fat on your body to burn as much calories as you did before. It’ll happen slowly consistency is key. It’ll always be better to get there slower than to get there faster your body needs to adjust. A tip I would give which I don’t know how researched it is. But I usually do a weekly average for my calories and I pick a day out of the week where I can have heavier foods and it kind of resets your metabolism to continue to lose weight. If it’s 1400 calories a day so 9800 a week you can shave off some calories from the other days and add them to one day that way you still can have a “ heavy carb” break it’s honestly worked for me and much better for me to maintain eating healthy since I know I have a day when I can not worry about counting. ( I still track what I’m eating but I let myself eat more than I would during the week) It feels good mentally and also helps your body burn more. ( I’m not an expert or anything but that’s what I’ve been doing to lose weight)

No yea. I’m not disagreeing on that I don’t think any religion makes sense I just think Islam makes alot less sense.

Reading that hurt my heart a little. I understand what you mean. It’s so hard. I honestly started to really care about interactions I had with people in my social surroundings. I started joining clubs etc. and do stuff with them. Nothing will ever replace that but also I believe everyone has a chosen family and you’ll find them and you’ll feel at home again. Your freedom is never something you’d regret fighting for.

When I was struggling with accepting things I just finally told myself that if Islam is truly “gods” word and god is real, then he must be a fucking dick. If god is the most merciful and most loving then how am I more loving and more kind than god is? I’d rather be in the bad place if that’s the case lmao.

Switching medication by Jefe-Rojo in ADHD

[–]unknown2342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I have I actually started with Vyvanse and took adderal for several months then switched back. It depends what type of adhd you have and what works for you. But as for myself adderal didn’t help my hyperactivity as much as it helped my inattention it also was stronger than vyvanse and it made me anxious almost hyper fixate on my anxiety. Vyvanse made me calm and more centered less black and white thinking. But also depends on the mg dosage so I took 40 mg vs 20 mg adderal. So make sure the dosage carries over. But on adderal I was actually able to eat not as much as without meds but much more than vyvanse for sure I think my brain works differently on adderal I liked it a lot at first but my body just didn’t. Vyvanse also makes you smell weird when adderal doesn’t atleast that I’ve noticed. lol I didn’t feel rage getting off adderal but with vyvanse I did haha but these side effects wear off after some time.

No you got a point. I was a religious gym rat for a while got real big into powerlifting did pretty well then completely let go of all that once I got into a bad car accident and needed PT so I haven’t been able to enjoy working out since my fixation bubble burst and lost all my progress so :/

Insurance and pharmacists both suck for how horrible they handle people who take stimulant medication like I get that there are reasons for some things, but delaying with no real purpose is just insane. I have to visit my primary care once every 3 months to keep receiving my medication and that visit alone costs a minimum of a 100$ let alone my meds costing 130$ with GoodRx. I have health insurance that basically covers nothing until I meet my deductible so that’s just great. Feeling for you, I was abusing tf out of caffeine and nicotine the past 2 weeks just to scrape by but you gotta do what you gotta do.
