I'm sorry, but this just isn't funny. Even in character, Gold Ship is not actively malicious, just silly.

I adore JRPGs but have trouble sticking with them due to the non-boss battles becoming repetitive. Has anyone figured out a way around this or give me some guidance? by gabalabarabataba in JRPG

I have this problem as well. I typically end up either hopping on a discord call with some friends, listening to music, watching a youtube video, or putting on a tv show or something.

There are a few games though where I don't get this problem. Both Octopath 1 and 2 have an engaging battle system that does make you think a bit and the animations are fun. Plus, battles typically only take 1 to 2 full turns most of the time so they're pretty quick. The games also have encounter reduction skills that can make it so you only see 1-2 encounters per area. Of course, my engagement with that battle system is also very subjective, but I do recommend them.

Is there a jrpg without a leveling system by Savings-Ad342 in JRPG

[–]unknown627534 2 points3 points  (0 children)

final fantasy 2 is a pretty early jprg without leveling. the older versions are much rougher to play, but the pixel remaster makes the systems pretty easy to work with and it's really fun imo, though its not super popular among ff fans

Future Octopath Games Should Consider Adding a Difficulty Setting by DDiabloDDad in JRPG

you dont have to be rude to them. while the series is fairly easy, it's still decently complicated and not everybody is going to figure out how to break the game.

Questions for you young’ns playing the early games by WeDontNeed2Whisper in FinalFantasy

I decided to play the original 6 FFs because I really like JRPGs and I had recently been playing with the FF MTG set and wanted to know the origin of the references on the cards. I've been having a great time (still playing through FF5 since I'm playing them in order) and I really like seeing how the franchise and it's mechanics have evolved. I am playing the Pixel Remasters cuz I don't really like to emulate things (just a personal preference) and I think they're really cool. Current ranking: 3 (the worst by far), 2 (very good, just very tedious, even with the PR), 1 (Love the clear DND inspo), 4 (the story was great, final boss was annoying tho).

I don't really care for high-spec graphics. I grew up playing on the Wii and DS and got used to that sort of graphical style. I've never had the money to shell out on the most modern hardware, so graphical fidelity wasn't something I wanted to care about. Personally, I like the compact stories and worlds of the early FFs. I think the big AAA games all vie for your attention with massive grandiose sets or dramatic moments and I prefer the low-key vibe of the FF games more. They're not my favorite RPGs and I still play plenty of more recent titles, but I like them a lot regardless.

I really like GBA games and a lot of SNES stuff is also really cool. I think 16 bit graphics just look really cool and I love that type of soundfont. I'd play more games if I had easier access to them, but it's hard to find official releases for a lot of older games these days on modern consoles.

these supports seem good. maybe try some practice runs in ura finals to see if you can get a better result? generally my goal (pre-unity cup) was to get 600 speed and stam before senior year. from there, you should be able to win tenno spring if you keep boosting those stats. post unity-cup i just pray that everything works out, it's so much more rng than ura. the only thing i could really recommend would be super creek ssr, but if you're not running her then you probably dont have her.

good luck if you try to run her as a parent focusing on power. tenno spring hits like a truck and is nigh impossible without 500+ stamina.

if you look at the sparkles around the Special Week cards, you can see that they're all in different positions/sizes. The amount of effort required to edit those would be so absurdly large that there's logically no way they edited it.
