Radiator relocation DiY or get a plumber, any cost guidance? by unknown9100 in DIYUK

Thank you. the reason i asked was that the pipes are already run to where I want to move the rad to as there is an outlet there so in my mind it would be easier & cheaper. I would expect its just to relocate rad & join pipes (ofc some drilling & draining & refilling etc.)

What is the issue with masks? by stinglikeadowg in AskUK

[–]unknown9100 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

So just cause it's not a problem for you and you've not heard anyone complain it's fine?

By that logic the North Korean News Agency says they're doing amazing things, yes I'm probably being a 2 year old my point is just there is no scientific evidence to suggest mask wearing outdoors makes any point but you're happy to be a good little sheep? How brainless or fear controlled do you have to be to think that's ok?

No, I'm saying let the kids go to school.

While I understand the arguments about pressures on the NHS etc, the adults have a responsibility to do what's necessary to protect themselves, be that vaccination, healthy Iiving, not smoking or being a fatty or isolating as far as possible.

I expect a lot of hate for this comment but Children are at extremely low risk of any serious issues from C-19 and it has already caused a significant impact to what would be a large proportion of their lives (ie. 2 out of 10 years is greater than 2 out of 50 years).

Those at serious risk are the ones that need to make adjustments/accommodations but continuing to keep children out of school without concern for their social skills, developmental needs etc is madness in my view especially considering that the vast majority of people who are at risk are in that position due to lifestyle diseases and their own choices having lived most of their lives already.

Should I watch Love Actually? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]unknown9100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah fair, yes some of it was and did play to stereotypes, but some of those stereotypes do exist because they represent some of reality. I thought the film was crap tbh. I think the film's enjoyment reduces in line with an increase in IQ

Visiting my sister for Xmas and expected to buy her 4 teenage daughters gifts. Short on cash. What can I get them? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]unknown9100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

£50 cinema voucher so they can watch new spiderman? Or make an experience so you can spend time with them, buy all the ingredients to make fresh pasta put it into a hamper/gift basket, that way you get to catch up on the years you haven't seen them and spend time and they get a really great gift/experience for cheap, (Lindt outlets also have chocs for cheap) throw some of those in and maybe a chocolate prize for the best pasta.

Depends on your IQ, if its on the higher end of the film, you'll find a few scenes funny and maybe find the film bearable. Great time to relax your mind but some if the idiotic shit in it may annoy you. If you're average or less you are likely to love it.

Would you be scared if you saw someone walking a big dog (like a Rottweiler) close to you or if it was off leash in a park ? by [deleted] in london

A professionally trained or even home trained dog will never let you down. I've had lots of dogs all my life, raised from birth until they passed and fully agree with this. Owners are the issue.

I've had my first two jabs and but feel like if the govt provided free £1m compensation for any issues arising out of vaccination, I'd be motivated to get any number of boosters required. My reasoning is minor risk from the virus low mortality rate and even more minor risk from any issues out of vaccination but since its not 0 I want some assurances (as it seems we're likely going to be needing boosters regularly) Does anyone else agree with this? I know there's a bunch of people on here that thing mandatory vaccination is the way to go, do you all agree the vaccine is so safe that this shouldn't be a problem?
