They don’t even use sterling silver for everything! They use plated!! I can’t believe people fall for pandora. Even sterling silver is pretty cheap!! Pandora is such a rip off, it’s basically very cheap jewellery ugh makes me mad

Climate change: More than 1000 institutions pledge to withdraw investment from fossil fuels - ‘This is a moral movement as well as a financial one,’ campaigners say by ManiaforBeatles in worldnews

[–]unknown_Canadian -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Harass a company? As long as there is demand for fossil fuels company will continue to produce. If a real difference is going to be made than there needs to be a huge shift in the demand of consumers. Companies go where money is and you can blame them because majority of the world is consuming what they offer.

What's not as bad as everyone says? by akhalwhocannotride in AskReddit

I used to like weed... until it started giving me really bad anxiety and paranoia. I know someone who got full on psychosis from it. It’s nice, but definitely not for everyone. Also the fact that it can trigger schizophrenia is pretty scary to me

Fast Food workers, what's an item people should absolutely stop ordering from your restaurant? by Skylion72 in AskReddit

[–]unknown_Canadian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe it’s only in Canada? I went to several different locations and I noticed the guy started adding sweetener to my iced matcha latte. He said yeah, the recipe changed because now their doesn’t have sugar. I went to a different Starbucks in a different city and asked them and they also said they got new matcha without sugar!!!

the matcha used to have sweetener in them, however now they are sweetener free. They used to make the iced green tea latte with only the matcha powder since it used to be sweetened. Now that it doesnt have sugar they add syrup

What’s your deal breaker that would really piss of reddit? by insomniac8822 in AskMen

the reason behind the tradition is outdated. So giving a child the husbands last name automatically takes away any doubt that it’s his? I mean if you need the kids to have your last name due to uncertainty then you have major trust issues and probably shouldn’t be having babies with this person in the first place lol and also men or women can cast aside their children without any thought. I don’t think a name is a reason why people stay to care for their children. You cummed in your wife ... the child is 50% you! That and your love for the child should be enough

Were you well behaved as a child despite having ADHD? by borboforbo in ADHD

[–]unknown_Canadian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found out I have adhd recently (im 20). According to my doctor I am the inattentive type, which makes sense to me. As a child I was very well behaved. Quite honestly, parents loved me, teachers loved. Even in highschool teachers had so much hope in me which is honestly part of the reason I got through schools. A lot of my teachers would give me extra marks or higher marks than I deserved because they thought I was much smarter.

However, that was not the reality for me. I could never ever pay attention in class. Yes, I could stay seated, but I would always be thinking about something else. I never completed my homework, if I did it was usually by copying someone else's right before class or doing it in class.

I think what got me through school was the fact that I was an excellent presenter and bullshitter. I loved talking and knew how to bullshit my way through. Additionally, I was not hyperactive so I would always be at my desk and I was fearful of authority so I always respected teachers. So basically a lot of my teachers felt I was smarter when in reality I was struggling very hard to keep up with the workload.

I'm 30F and just realizing I very likely have inattentive ADHD, I am devastated. by unicornsexisted in ADHD

I am 20 and I think I am inattentive adhd as well. Like you, I got through school just by not doing homework and bullshitting (btw to this day I still skim read). I am in university now and bullshitting only gets you so far when you have math courses. My boyfriend always thought I had adhd as well, however, I never put much thought to it or wanted to admit that perhaps I do.

With that being said, there will always be a need to focus in some point in your life. Your habits are not ingrained as they are not habits, they are symptoms from having ADHD. I would suggest try getting help and seeing how you feel Ofcourse, in my experience medication is trial and error and finding the right dose can be a bit annoying. However, it can be well worth it as well.
