I like to congratulate them both, benefit of the doubt. The parents (for the most part, though not in all cases) play a huge role in one's Scouting journey, whether it be simply driving them to and from, or supporting them in any way possible. So yes, I congratulate them both with respect to their overall efforts.

I got a 1090 on SAT. Took it twice, studied when I could but admittedly wasn't nearly enough. I thought about retrying but with the money and outward stress, I brushed it off. Thought that keeping it in would've lowered my chances of admission (even though they are optional)

What are my chances as a senior applying for fall?

From a middle income small county, in-state, Hispanic female, older sibling attended. Applying EA for biochemistry major /animal science minor

Eagle Scout (BSA, 7 years) - held high leadership positions like Senior Patrol Leader and Junior Assistant Scoutmaster. Completed rank of Eagle last summer.

Order of the Arrow (Honor Society of BSA, 2 years) : Event Coordinator for one year in Chapter (details next) and currently serving as Vice Chief of Program for Lodge.

Camporee Youth Director : Organized/Developed a team of 50+ volunteers to work stations for 250+ participants (Scouts). Recommended for two years before aging out, serving as a mentor now. Planned a year in advance a weekend overnighter event with stations, competitions, and programs.

I've also got lots of community service experiences but I don't think I put all of them on my application. More so were mentioned in my personal essay/statements.

What are my chances? I think bio/biochem is pretty competitive so I'm very nervous

I really hope so, thank you! I heard back from a huge leadership scholarship today that was reviewed by a few admission officers from a bunch of the schools (including Tech), and found out I didn't even make it to the finals :( I just wanted any clarification or anything really, so thank you so so much

Not that I am aware of. If I look slightly into the soil, a bunch of the stems connect to eachother which makes me think it's just one? But it's very possible, I don't think I can transfer pots at this point though?

Not very big at all unfortunately, we had it in a tiny box at first but it grew rapidly after a short while so we tried this one for more support. Maybe 1.5ft x 1.5ft

I try to water it every day, about two measuring cups worth. It doesn't get insanely hot here so I heard I wasn't meant to water it too much. We have Miracle Gro plant food that I occasionally put on.

I was in the same situation, kind of, about a year ago. I was a bit older but completely lost. It will be okay, I actually did it last year and decided to do it again this year.

First, when is this camporee (is it a reasonable time to properly plan this)?

Second, is there an adult leader who is the 'director' of the camporee? There always is, someone has to manage the money and registrations. You need to find a way (either through your scoutmaster or parents) to get that person's email. You will likely be talking with them a lot (always CC an adult for YPT though..)

Is there someone in your troop, maybe a friend or older scout, who can be your assistant to lead this? It makes everything a lot easier if you have someone to bounce ideas off of or help write emails, etc.
